Band 7 IELTS Answer
The image has two tables. The first table shows the number of international students studies in Canada. The second table shows shows the number of international students in USA. The data is shown of the year 2002 and 2003 and the percentage of change.
Except for the number of Indian students in the United States, the total number of students in 2003 clearly increased from 2002. The total number of foreign students is higher in the United States, despite the higher percentage change in Canada.
From 5400 in 2002 to 7850 in 2003, the number of Chinese students in Canada has increased by 45 percent. However, the number of Chinese students has only increased by 6% in the United States. India has the highest proportion of international students in the United States, but there was a 9 percent drop in enrollment in 2003. In the meantime, the number of Indian students studying in Canada increased by 35% from 2100 in 2002 to 2835 in 2003.
The rise in American students in Canada and the rise in Canadian students in the United States is comparable. The increases are respectively 7% and 9%. While the number of international students increased by only 2% in the United States, the number in Canada increased by 17%.

The table below shows how the number of international students from the United States who went to Canada in 2003 was different from 2002.
In general, it is evident that in both years, America accepted more students than Canada did. According to the table, the majority of international students who came to Canada in 2002 were from China, with 5400, 400 more than from the United States. In 2003, these numbers increased by 45% and 9%, respectively. India's contribution to the total 59,870 international students it had in 2002 was just 2,100. Additionally, this number increased by 735.
In contrast to Canada, the United States accepted more Indian students in both years. There were 0.2 million Indian students in the United States in 2002, 90,000 more than Chinese students. However, the number of Indian students decreased by 9% when the number of Chinese students reached 116,600 in 2003. In 2003, there were 592,230 overseas students, which increased from 581,600 in 2002. The number of Canadian students increased by 7% from 31,000 in 2002.

In both years, there were more Indian students studying in the United States (200,000 in 2002 and 182,000 in 2003, a decrease of -9%), but there were fewer Indian students studying in Canada despite a 35% increase (2,000 and 2,835 for each year).
The number of American students increased by 9% from 5,000 to 5,450 in Canada, while the number of Canadian students increased by a similar 7% to 33,170 in the United States.
