Topic: Over the past fifty years, international sports events such as the Olympic Games and world cup competitions have played an increasingly important role in our society. However, many people think such events are an enormous waste of money, time and effort. Do you agree?

Band 7 IELTS Essay

There is intense competition between countries to host international sporting events such as the World Cup or the Olympic Games. It acts as an important opportunity for the host country. While the benefits are unbelievable, I believe the costs are high. So the government should prioritize certain benefits to bring better outcomes for its citizens.

On the other hand, being the host country of an international event such as the World Cup or Olympic Games brings many economic and architectural advantages. During these events, tourists from all over the world look for places to stay, places to eat and everyday things to buy. Efforts to accommodate these tourists will continue long after the tourists leave. The cost of refurbishing the hotel during the event can pay for itself and generate significant profits for years to come. Another important development challenge concerns the rapid implementation of quality systems. He had to build new sports facilities such as swimming pools and stadiums, as well as overhaul infrastructures such as roads and airports. For example, China used the Beijing Olympics as an opportunity to renovate old buildings and roads.

On the other hand, in these competitions, a lot of resources from the host country are used for temporary competitions. To ensure the success of these worthy causes, the government must spend a large portion of the nation's defense budget, often billions of dollars, on defense. Normally, there will be no new installation after each game. A prime example of this is Brazil, as many of the pools and stadiums used in the 2014 Olympics are now abandoned and disappearing. At the same time, there are other pressing issues, such as the need for new schools for students with disabilities and better health care for the elderly. If the government pays attention to these issues, the country will be better off and the standard of living of the people will be higher.

In short, I believe that governments should not spend too much of their resources on managing international events that have no long-term impact. This is because the consequences are very serious. Instead, it should be done annually in a specific country, so the new system benefits over time.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

There are many people who think that a big event like the Olympics is a waste of money and that the government should use the money for more important things. But personally, I believe that conducting these programs will be beneficial for the country. For one thing, sports are very beneficial for our health and brain functions. Some people think that it is a waste of money for countries to host big sports events like the world cup. Especially some people think that, for example, all sports events: in Olympic games, in tournaments. They think disputes are first of all world cups, medals and gift certificates. or for travel, they will subsidize it. In many countries, ring leaders of addicts will participate. They need space to look after them and they will spend money on all of them. Maybe in these matters. As I mentioned above, some people don't like cup competitions.

It is believed that the government should not spend much on big festivals like sports. Of course, the infrastructure “conditions'' required by the host country to guarantee transportation and parks are a significant investment. Moreover, the lower the level of development of the country, the higher the need for investment. Therefore, the financial burden on the festival seems unnecessary when there are more important factors such as environmental pollution or poor living conditions. This iis why the Brazilian government faced a lot of criticism when it hosted the 2014 World Cup.

Despite these views, I believe it is beneficial for the country to observe such customs. First, many tourists and visitors participate in these activities, supporting their group morale. Local residents increase sales of their products and services. One of the most important arguments for a sports event is that a country should improve its country in every way. For example, one of them plays sports. If they plan any contest. The first would be your job. As a result, the property may be sold to drug addicts.

Secondly, sports are a source of entertainment and Twitter followers, where people can get a golden opportunity to meet and watch their favorite stars. Third, international sports events increase the country's international reputation, thus the country's tourism potential benefits.

In conclusion, I think there are many advantages of participating in international sporting events, although there are also some disadvantages.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

There are differences of opinion on whether the country's domestic budget should be used to host the World Cup. Personally, I believe the events have a positive impact on the host country. Current international events call into question the host country's ability to prepare for these events. Some say it's a waste of money, while others say it will benefit the country. These two points will be discussed in the next section. However, I believe that the host country will benefit greatly from these factors.

For starters, I'm sure almost every country wants to host because it's a great opportunity for them to explore the world. For example, in 1998 it was the best of the World Cup, also known as France 98, but I didn't see it the way I look at today's football. So, even though the football event is over, it remains a topic when discussing one of the best events in the world today. This record supports the notion that a football tournament like the World Cup is remembered forever after the event is over.

Opponents of this outdated idea argue that spending money on sports is harmful to the country's economy. An international sports event costs the budget of the host countries. Costs of refurbishing their stadiums, adding extra security and signing key players that poor countries cannot afford. For example, instead of spending billions of dollars to host the 2010 World Cup and going into debt South Africa should use it for better purposes. This could be for a budget to meet the expectations of improving, improving and defeating life in the bodies of its citizens. hunger

However, I support the view that countries can benefit in many ways by hosting sports. First, there have been plenty of jobs for planning and investment over the years, resulting in low unemployment. Second, happiness and joy are at its heart; From this perspective, immigrants from the host country significantly improve their life satisfaction. Finally, such activities are important for the development of culture and tourism in the host country. As stadiums and sports arenas host people from all over the world, relationships and cultural understanding are further developed.

Finally, I agree with those who feel that the advantages of hosting international events outweigh the disadvantages, even if they are pushed to a larger economy.
