International Conferences in Three Capital Cities IELTS Writing Task 1 is an academic task. The IELTS academic writing task 1 deals with info-graphic questions. Model Answer 1:

The given line graph depicts the number of different international conferences taking place in three other capital cities represented by A, B, and C over a period of thirty years.

Overall, it can be understood that the number of international conferences in capital cities A and B decreased over the period of thirty years. In contrast to this, the capital city C saw an exponential increase in the number of conferences.

In 1980 city B had 30 conferences whereas city A had 35. There were frequent fluctuations in the middle period, but both the cities saw a gradual decline to around 25 discussions approximately in 2010.

When it comes to city C, it started with zero conferences in 1980. After that, it increased rapidly with a bit of fluctuation during 1990 and 2000. However, even during this period, the overall trend was growth with a peak at 35 in 2000. At the same time, the conferences decreased in frequency from 2000, but at the end of the period in 2010, city C had the most significant number of meetings, around 30.

The given diagram of line graphs compares three different capital cities hosting international conferences over a period of thirty years from 1980 and 2010.

Overall, it can be seen that capital cities A and B suffered a loss in terms of the frequency of international conference hosting. In contrast, capital city C gained a considerable number of such conferences over the period of thirty years.

In 1980 city A and city B had 35 and 30 international conference hosting experiences, respectively. After unhealthy fluctuations, the final trend decreased to around 25 conferences for both the cities where city B fared better than city A.

Here the line graph depicts city C as the major gainer since, during the time of fluctuations for the other city, this particular capital city saw a steep rise in the international conference hosting experience. It started in 1980 with not a single such conference but peaked at 35 in the year 2000 that is within 20 years. However, after 2000, just like every other city, C also saw a declining trend, and within 2010 it came down to 30 hosting approximately. Additionally, the line graph shows that city C is still above other cities A and B.

The line graph depicts the different trends in the occurrences of international conferences in the capital city A.B. C. The period considered on the x-axis is a thirty-year period, 1980-2010.

In general, capital cities A and B were filled with fluctuations but gradually lost such international conferences. In contrast, capital city C had the opportunity to host the vast majority of those.

1980, the starting period was good for both city A and city B, with 35 and 30 international conferences respectively. However, the following period saw fluctuations which spiralled into a gradual shortage of such conferences and both ended at near about 25. Here, even if the two cities are considered, city B is the winner.

On the other hand, capital city C is the primary winner among all the cities since it started with zero but peaked at 35 when the other two cities were nowhere near it. It peaked at 35 in 2000 while other two cities, A and B at the same time were at 25 approximately. Finally, city C emerged as the only winner in terms of hosting international conferences in 2010 with around 20 annually, a slight decrease from the peak period.
