Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

The fact that the globe has truly become a global village and that more and more individuals are able to travel internationally. Specifically, the result of falling international travel prices is a factual truth worth taking into account. Given this, some researchers believe that the expanding tourist trend needs to be adopted in potential countries. The world's increased tourism does, however, have certain benefits and drawbacks. The tourism industry is expanding, and there are some important benefits.

Economic growth is undoubtedly the most important benefit to take into account. It is generally acknowledged that only wealthy individuals and developed nations had access to international travel a few decades ago. However, the majority of middle-class and lower-class people now can afford to go anywhere in the globe or inside their own countries for a variety of reasons. Especially due to the decline in air travel costs. As a result, many developing nations are able to emphasise their tourism industries and generate income from tourism that may be higher than in the past. Recent research in Sri Lanka, which shows that more than 60% of the country's overall income comes from tourism, supports this claim. A further benefit of tourism is that it provides a great possibility for the creation of new jobs, which may help to lower unemployment rates. Despite the benefits of increased tourism that have been outlined above, there are some drawbacks that should not be disregarded without serious thought. The excessive presence of foreign tourists could endanger culture and tradition, which could be a negative reality. When tourism is successful in a nation, it becomes difficult to address environmental harm and mixed cultural influences. In the end, there is little doubt that society will profit greatly from an increase in global travel. But there are also certain negative effects that need to be appropriately addressed.

Travelling internationally has, in fact, gotten less expensive in recent years, which has helped many nations' tourism sectors. The expansion of the tourism industry has advantages and disadvantages of its own. There are various advantages for many countries as a result of the expansion of the tourism business. The first benefit is that it gives the locals a lot of job chances. The number of hotels and restaurants built next to well-known tourist attractions has increased, which has lowered the unemployment rate.

The native population has as a result taken up a large number of local jobs, raising the local employment rates at tourist destinations. Also as a result of the progress, the nation's income will rise. The number of international visitors is growing, and as a result, more of them are spending money in hotels and restaurants, which are then liable to taxes. On the other hand, the development of this business has some unfavourable consequences for the nation. Buildings for additional tourist attractions increase as more visitors arrive in the nation. In contrast to certain wild creatures losing their native home and having a negative impact on the ecology. Many of these locations are built in nature protection areas. Additionally, some visitors exhibit unfavourable behaviours that have an adverse impact on the culture of the region. People might not consume alcoholic beverages, for instance, in some Asian nations. However, since many Westerners travel to these nations and carry alcohol with them, many locals are exposed to the drink and begin to consume alcohol as well. In conclusion, it is clear that the tourism business is expanding and that many nations can benefit from this trend. It is important to keep in mind, though, that it has significant drawbacks for these nations as well. Personally, I think it is the government's responsibility to create clear laws for the travel and tourist industries. So that all of the industry's benefits outweigh its negatives.

Although tourism offers the potential to create new jobs and propel national development, serious environmental harm is highly likely to happen. Despite the inevitable challenges of pollution, I believe that travel is much better off growing for the size of the economy and expanding jobs. We already know that tourism is a sizable business with potential impacts on important supplies. The biggest advantage of increasing tourism is that it will aid society's economy.

It connects international tourists with hotels, restaurants, and other tourism-related businesses. Due to this the amount of money made through this activity would be enormous. The local housing market will improve as a result, which might have an impact on local towns and people. In addition, it might lead to an increase in jobs across a range of businesses, including hospitality, agriculture, travel, and lodging. Therefore, as more individuals visit the nation, the entire nation will generate more income while maintaining a stable social environment. While this is happening, the primary drawback effect is seen in the national flora and fauna. As travelling increases that might have an adverse impact on the entire ecology. The government should construct several hotels and lodgings with breathtaking views. Such as those of the beach or mountains, in order to draw tourists' attention and attract more people. This has negative effects on diversity because it causes habitats to be destroyed and more endangered species to become extinct. As a result, it can cost more money to fix the situation and get everything back to how it was originally. In conclusion, more people are trying to travel abroad these days to experience other cultures as COVID-19 has become a laxer. Even when they make efforts to reduce it, individuals and the government as a whole will undoubtedly still cause environmental harm. However, this economic growth and the consequent increase in the number and variety of occupations play a larger role in how quickly things advance.
