Long hours at work have a negative effect on employee life. Employees sometimes lead high-pressure, stressful lives and neglect recreational activities. Because they are so engrossed in their work. Due to their way of living, individuals are more likely to experience a wide range of physiological and psychological issues. Including splitting headaches, Alzheimer's disease, or even feelings of loneliness. In addition, they miss out on life's pleasures because they spend the majority of their time working. After they retire is the only time they can truly enjoy life.

Overworking employees not only disadvantages individuals. But it also impedes the growth of businesses and society. Numerous studies have shown that a person's daily productivity and concentration are constrained. Therefore, if they consistently work long hours, they cannot focus on what they are doing. This frequently results in the stoppage of the production line, which does great harm to both their business and society as a whole. It explains why many prosperous businesses do not need their employees to work overtime.

Despite its disadvantages, working long hours is nevertheless common in many nations. Due to a variety of factors, including poor finances, many employees labor until midnight. Therefore, it is advised that the authorities establish a suitable policy to deal with this issue.

Working late will prevent social gatherings and other community activities from flourishing, which is bad for the neighborhood.
