Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

The world we live in today has steadily risen in terms of digital meanings, and it has unmistakably changed in significant ways. It positively has made the livelihood of people very simplistic and comfortable. This essay examines how it has been a beneficial invention.

The rate at which people are progressing, as well as the entire human population, would not have been conceivable without digitization as a foundation. Online progress has heightened and expedited growth in all areas of employment, development, and study. It has been considerably more efficient and time-saving through internet clicks and flicks.

For example, virtually every institution, college, school, and coaching center has turned to online teaching, which would not have been feasible if this channel had not been innovated. Furthermore, many disadvantaged students who would not otherwise have had access to studying in an offline medium are now able to benefit from the new wave of e-learning. To add to this phenomenon, the outbreak of COVID-19 has immensely impacted the human world. For months after months, people feared coming out of their places, ordering online, social media, and video calls became the core. This automatically made people more accustomed to the online world.

To summarise, the world's current growth curves are mostly due to the proliferation of the computer age and online transformation. As a result, it is, for the most part, a good development for the modern world.’

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Many tasks are now feasible without any physical contact because of digitization. Although internet buying, working, and chatting are easy and cost-effective, their negative consequences, such as interpersonal disputes and the possibility of fraud, are, in my opinion, a bad trend. Without a doubt, thanks to the advancement of digital technology, individuals may now save time and money while living a pleasant life. This is due to a variety of factors. To begin with, internet shopping allows individuals to have their favorite goods delivered to their doorsteps in no time with just a few clicks on a mobile device.

As a consequence, they will be able to save a significant amount of money on gasoline for grocery visits. Second, communication has been easier and more comfortable as a result of the availability of programs such as Skype, WhatsApp, and others, which allow individuals to speak with anyone without having to physically visit them. Furthermore, digital development has benefited employees, as many individuals now work from home utilizing the internet, giving them the flexibility to work on their own schedule.

Despite the benefits listed above, I feel this is a harmful trend because of the various disadvantages. The lack of face-to-face encounters, in particular, tends to generate social and personal disparities. For example, according to Hopkins University research, by the end of 2030, 40% of individuals will have grown socially distant due to a lack of interest in meeting others in person as a result of the massive increase in digital communication. This will not only cause problems in personal and social connections, but it will also cause problems at work, since no facial contact may quickly lead to misunderstandings and disputes with coworkers. Furthermore, online purchasing can occasionally lead to deception and fraud. When advertising items online, some con artists conceal the actual identity of the products and mislead their clients with phony evaluations and ratings.

To conclude, while digital shopping, employment, and engagement offer convenience and simplicity, these changes, in my opinion, are more detrimental since they lead to social estrangement and online fraud.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Humans may now utilize more convenient and helpful services for shopping, working, and communicating instead of direct interaction with people, owing to the continued development of online-based technology. This advancement can have both beneficial and harmful consequences for people's lives.

On one hand, the growth of internet services might be viewed as a positive indication. The first argument is that using internet apps would save customers and workers a significant amount of time wasted commuting to stores or faraway offices. Many customers, in particular, may use the Internet to buy, saving time and gas on excursions to the supermarket as well as scouring other stores for deals. Furthermore, engaging with others via the Internet may contribute significantly to the development of relationships between individuals from different nations and cultures.

Facebook is a wonderful illustration of this, where individuals from all ethnic backgrounds become friends. As a result, people may be able to broaden their social circles or even be exposed to cultural values from around the world. On the other hand, while there are definite benefits to this trend, there are also drawbacks to having less face-to-face interaction with others. For example, in order to maximize earnings, numerous stores and outlets market their items on media such as TV, Facebook, and other online shopping software with inaccurate information about quality.

As a result, internet purchasers might be picky about faded and unattractive items, wasting a lot of money on low-quality goods. Furthermore, connecting with people using internet services can lead to a number of social issues. Virtual connections created online, in reality, may not be genuine. The media often reports on the horror stories of children who have been victimized by pedophiles. As a result, numerous effective steps must be made to address these challenges. Finally, the creation of live tools for buying, working, and chatting can assist individuals in making friends while also saving time.
