Band 6 IELTS Essay

Technological advancements have made human life day-to-day activities easier. There are many old methods replaced by new methods. Apps for mobile phones are now widely used. Cell phone apps are increasingly being used to make payments for goods and services both in developed and developing nations worldwide. Since everything has two sides, this essay will go into further detail on the benefits and drawbacks.

On the plus side, most individuals are purchasing all household necessities during this Covid-19 epidemic situation via internet apps. In other words, using a cell phone at home to order groceries and other household items and to pay for them is very simple. The things will be delivered to your front step with just one phone click. For instance, with the Minimart app, customers can get everything they need, pay for it, and have it delivered the same day. Also there is no need to pay through cash. Methods of online pay are also available on the payment mode.

However, despite the fact that it benefits individuals, there are still certain drawbacks. In a nutshell, it's all about security considerations. People enter their credit or debit card information to make payments via online mobile phone apps. Which makes them vulnerable to hacking by third parties and compromises their online security. However, not everything is fraud or scam online. One must be aware of the possible signs indicating something might be a scam. While online payment is effective and time saving. Top pay changer there is no need to find change or coins, Online transactions can be made of any amount of money. To make a payment, for instance, users may be directed to another website. However, some apps may point users to an unsecured page where money or credit card information may be stolen by hackers.

In conclusion, these platforms' benefits outweigh their drawbacks. Before making any payment, people should exercise caution in order to protect their financial information and for security reasons.

The use of smartphone apps for everyday transactions has skyrocketed in today's digital environment. While some people appreciate the convenience that digital transactions provide, others claim that they are not safe. There are advantages and disadvantages to using these apps, and this essay will address both points of view with examples.

First off, there are millions of smartphone owners worldwide. And these devices offer a wide range of practical uses, including those for electronic payments. With the aid of the internet, these apps give users the flexibility to move money from one device to another. Unexpectedly, individuals have embraced this method of payment and use it even more frequently than they swipe their debit or credit cards. For example, Paytm, a digital mobile payment app, allows merchants to accept returns simply by scanning the barcode or QR code. Immediately, the money is transferred to the user's digital wallet. The biggest benefit of using these applications is that carrying physical cash or credit cards is not necessary.

However, there are some drawbacks to using these apps. Such as the fact that it might not be appropriate for someone who is not familiar with technological devices or who may not have access to the internet. Additionally, there is a risk of financial fraud or online scams because some apps are not governed or approved by the government. Even though the bank manages the payment through their "safe payment gateway" systems. And it requires authentication, typically via text message (OTP), there is a risk of fraud if an unauthorized person gets access to the card and the phone. For example, one should under no circumstances give any bank login information to a strange man over the phone or in person.

To sum up, these apps have several benefits that may exceed their drawbacks. Such as financial fraud and scams, including aspects like ease of use and quick transaction rates.

Mobile payments have been expanding significantly in the modern era. Mobile phone payments are growing in popularity worldwide, not just in affluent nations but also in a large number of developing nations. Digital payments made through smartphone apps are developing into a global trend. Mobile app payments are convenient and simple, and users also receive extra perks as they transact. Therefore I think this technological advancement has more benefits than drawbacks. Since everything has two sides, this article will go over both the advantages and disadvantages of this payment method.

The ease it affords consumers is the first of the pros we'll discuss. In other words, paying with a single touch is more convenient than carrying cash or exact change for purchases. Second, payments made using a digital platform are digitally recorded. Consequently, it is not necessary to maintain track of the transaction, which simplifies spending management. For instance, Paytm, an online payment platform, enables users to pay for goods and services as well as send and receive money. As a result, people are more likely to use these platforms than to rely on conventional techniques.

Despite this, using these digital channels has a number of disadvantages. First off, cyberattacks usually target these types of programs. In other words, payment banks lack the level of security measures that a traditional bank may claim. As a result, many users of these programs become targets for hackers. If a mobile device is stolen, financial information stored on it may also be exposed and utilized inappropriately.

To sum up, there are security issues with using mobile applications to make payments. But in my opinion, these platforms offer more benefits than drawbacks. Because they enable instantaneous money transfers from any location at any time. By exercising due vigilance, the security worries can be greatly reduced. Online payments are also effective and efficient.
