In many countries it is common for families to own and run their own business IELTS Writing Task 2 has three sample answers provided below. It requires candidates to answer a simple question with argumentative statements. The sample answers have an introduction and body. The introduction provides a brief description of the given topic. The body in each sample answer portrays argumentative statements to support the test-taker’s perspectives.

While some could contend that the argument might increase profitability, others might counter that it only serves to inflame tension and foment family disputes. But as I'll argue in this essay, I think keeping a business within the family creates more issues than it does opportunities. On the one hand, some people would contend that keeping the firm within the family helps to foster a sense of ownership. Thereby raising their prestige in society. Furthermore, having the same culture and history raises the possibility of group thinking.

It is not only a bad quality but also may result in the same thoughts and proposals by limiting the viewpoint. A lucrative business will also result from good management, which will make life easier for families. Given that there are no set working hours and no one is holding the proprietors accountable, it may also produce a sense of pride. Another issue with this is that parents expect their children to work in the family business when they are older. Even when the kids have other plans for the future. Other times, it's possible that the kids don't have the work ethic or the business know-how to keep the business profitable. In addition, if there are more siblings in a family, there may be disagreements over how to operate the firm. It could ultimately result in the failure of the enterprise. To sum up, I believe that people should sell off their family business once they have spent their entire life managing it and have reached retirement age. Because most children have different ideas about how their lives should be. With regard to their hopes and wishes, the family must, nevertheless, be open and honest with one another.

The concept of family-owned businesses is gaining popularity all over the world. Some people think it is a better way to manage a firm, while others think it will cause strife within the family. Although there are certain drawbacks to this kind of business, I think the benefits outweigh them. First off, those who are opposed to the concept of family-owned enterprises base their case on the possibility that it would cause a commotion. And will lead to numerous previously unresolved family conflicts.

For instance, family members may quarrel and fight over financial matters. It may result in family disputes because the concerns will be more subjective than objective. An organisation that is family-owned, however, offers many more advantages. Contrary to the notion that it will result in greater conflict, the link between family members will really strengthen. Because they work beside one another all day. Furthermore, the work schedule will be modified in accordance with the conditions and status of each family member. For instance, some of them might be students who require a break to concentrate on their coursework and tests. In addition, every choice will be made with the welfare of the entire family in mind. Additionally, the trade can be handed down through the generations. Another clear benefit of family-owned enterprises is the improvement in financial competence brought about by decreased costs and expenditures. Lastly, but certainly not least, a more comfortable and relaxed work environment will be created. In conclusion, every sort of business has pros and cons. I tend to think that having a workplace where every employee is a relative has far more advantages than disadvantages.

Although family-run firms can benefit from this approach in many ways, there are also certain disadvantages, in my opinion. The advantages and disadvantages of starting a family career will be covered in this article. First of all, it should be noted that the family-run business's most evident benefit is the high degree of devotion and loyalty among its members.

It can provide new prospects for growth and ultimately prolong its success. For instance, working together as a family with trust in one another may eventually result in the long-term stability of that particular profession. Additionally, the improvement of financial competence as a result of lower costs and expenditures is another obvious advantage of family-owned businesses. As an example, when all the members have the same thinking and mindset, the additional costs associated with training skilled staff can be disregarded. However, there are some disadvantages and difficulties that will stand in the way of family professional development. It may outweigh the benefits. In the beginning, excessive time flexibility brought on by emotional ties can result in disruptive outcomes. For instance, in such businesses, it is highly common to delegate responsibility to other employees during working hours. Basically due to an unstructured leadership style. Additionally, having the same culture and history increases the risk of group thinking for businesses. It is not only a negative trait but may also lead to the same ideas and proposals by limiting the viewpoint. In conclusion, family enterprises, like any other profession, have both advantages and disadvantages. Depending on the circumstance, they may be beneficial or destructive. In general, in my opinion, while it should be decided by taking into account many factors, the benefits of family-run business outweigh its drawbacks.
