People have grown to enjoy detective fiction and crime programmes in recent years. This essay will address the reasons behind this trend's rise to prominence in the following paragraphs, and my thoughts on these kinds of books and shows.
People are inherently intrigued about events like homicide, robbery, disasters, etc., which is one of the reasons why crime-related shows and tales are so popular. In other words, people nowadays read about and hear about these kinds of catastrophes on a daily basis from newspapers, television, and other social media. Therefore, if students have the possibility to learn about crimes and how they occur. So, when people hear about these crimes happening around them, they will undoubtedly want to see them on television. For example, the popular Netflix crime thriller series Money-Heist has an IMDB rating of 8.4/10, which is significantly better than the ratings for dramas. It demonstrates unequivocally how well-liked these shows are with the general public.
Similar to how most comedic or romantic stories have predictable endings, crime novels. These also contain suspenseful plots that make readers want to complete the book soon. Readers are therefore more interested in such stories.
These books and series, in my opinion, are always exciting for everyone, regardless of age. They offer viewers enduring satisfaction and experience in a similar manner. Additionally, after reading and watching about this kind of criminal conduct, people will be more aware of their surroundings. For instance, in recent news accounts, a woman was described as having escaped captors by applying certain strategies she had read about in a book.
As a result, people are naturally curious about crime and violence, which is why crime thrillers are so popular. The biggest benefit of reading or watching about crime is that it inspires people to adopt safety precautions.

Model Answer 2

It is a common occurrence these days for crime-themed books and television shows to gain popularity across the globe. The primary reason for this trend will be discussed in this essay, and I think that it has a bad effect on people.
First off, the growing interest in crime novels and television series is a big factor in their rising popularity. In contrast to other genres, books and television shows about criminal situations offer suspense, tragedy, and unexpected climaxes. For instance, Joker, the most well-known Hollywood film of 2019, was based on a crime story and was packed with suspense. As a result, this passage suggests that the major factor in the success of crime-related books and TV shows is viewers' interest in this genre.
Second, there appears to be a growing fascination in society with resolving criminal puzzles. More precisely, people enjoy assuming the role of the investigator and investigating cases on their own. One's thinking is adversely affected by crime fiction and crime dramas on television. People, especially children, are influenced when they see or read about their favorite characters committing murder, and other crimes to get fame and money. As a result, they attempt to replicate their behaviour in real life without taking into account the negative consequences caused by their immaturity. Therefore, it is clear that juvenile crime literature and television series have the potential to influence young people to commit crimes.
The above arguments demonstrate that people are interested in crime-related fiction novels and TV shows. And that this genre has a significant impact on people by enticing them to engage in wrongdoing. People are also more likely to practice safety measures as a result of reading or watching about crime.

Model Answer 3

In the modern world, a growing number of countries publish books and television series that tell stories about criminals. The excitement or curiosity of people to see or read the thrill and suspense drama could be the reason. But in my opinion, such ideas might generate negativity and fear among people.
Today, many individuals are more accustomed to reading and seeing intriguing stories. One explanation could be that it keeps the story flowing and builds tension, which makes one eager to finish it completely. The audience is kept interested until the suspense is disclosed, as every segment of the movie is connected to the prior segment. In web series, for instance, the search for criminals is divided into seven or eight sections. These are so intricately woven together that one cannot wait to watch them all. Despite having violent content, people still enjoy watching it, which makes it popular.
I believe that watching crime-related content has certain negative consequences. First of all, people quickly pick up on how to commit crimes. According to the situation, unemployed and illiterate people mimic the crime scene in real life by taking care of the effects stated in the novel to get wealthy. Second, it instills terror in the elderly. When they get home from work late, they worry about their family members. For instance, when a girl arrives home late, her parents are aware of the crimes that are depicted in books or dramas. Further, they are worried that their daughter would experience the same. Therefore, novels and television programs that focus on crime are more dangerous for people.
In conclusion, the author employs a material that viewers and readers are more likely to find engaging. People should exercise more caution while forming such habits because, in my opinion, they occasionally put themselves in precarious positions.
