Topic: Immigration has an impact on society. What are the main reasons for immigration? To what consequences can it lead?

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Nowadays, for a variety of reasons, the vast majority of people move away from their hometowns and settle in other cities or nations. As a result, it has certain important consequences for both the mother and the host nation. The motivations for migration will be clarified in this essay, along with any potential effects.

If you take a close look at the situation, you will see that many people have been denied even the most basic rights. Such as access to a hospital or educational facility. Mostly because the welfare and essential facilities are not distributed equally among cities, towns, and rural areas, or, generally, among the countries. In addition, there are consistently improved places to advance in your profession or pursue higher education. It attracts the attention of the demographics. For instance, prestigious universities like Cambridge enroll a sizable number of students each year.

It is undeniable that these immigrants have an impact on both the regions of origin and destinations, both positively and negatively. Firstly, all immigrants will benefit because they will have the opportunity to improve their quality of life through labour or education. In turn, this will encourage businesses and academic institutions to benefit from the skills and diligence of recent immigrants.

However, as the majority of emigrants work, get married, and start families, they put off returning to their hometown after their children retire or get married. As a result, some developing countries will suffer from brain drain and lose their professional workforces for a considerable amount of time. For example, every year, many Iranians relocate to other countries and take good positions in various major corporations all over the world, such as Nasa.

In conclusion, the lack of resources in less developed regions and the incentives in developed ones lead to migration. It has a negative effect on brain drain while also having the beneficial effect of the above-mentioned personal promotion.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

It is inevitable that many immigrants will choose to settle down in other nations in the era of globalisation. The first paragraph will examine two key factors that contribute to this tendency. And the second paragraph will discuss their important effects.

People are drawn to live abroad not only by the higher standard of living but also by the employment prospects. The bulk of immigrants migrate from poor nations with weak services and facilities to rich nations with numerous scientific advances for jobs and studies. The change in immigrants' shelters gives them the opportunity to expose themselves to advanced education and training systems. And widen their horizons, which increases their chances of landing well-paying professions in the future. As a result, compared to persons who remain in their home countries, new immigrants are permitted to earn higher incomes.

Overall, this new trend includes both negative and positive aspects. In the first place, immigrants can fill open positions and lower the unemployment rate. It is also regarded as a loss for developing nations. If the migrant workers choose to remain in the host nation, their home nation would lose its labour force. In the end, there will be a bigger difference between developed and developing nations. Moving to another nation also exposes a person to the customs, languages, and way of life of that country. The inevitable clash of two cultures will eventually increase the threat of the extinction of minority groups' cultural identities.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that people want to relocate to other nations for better living conditions and employment prospects. Even though it has clear benefits for some countries and people's lifestyles. It poses a severe threat to the economies of underdeveloped nations and to the fabric of global culture.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

Currently, there is a high rate of immigration, which is when someone leaves their native nation to start a new life in a different location. The number of people moving to other countries has grown in popularity among individuals. The main causes of this phenomena and its likely effects will be covered in this article.

The primary driver behind this personal decision is, first and foremost, the desire for better employment and educational prospects. Additionally, when making this choice, a person considers not only professional satisfaction and a work-life balance. But also a safe environment to live with their children, where there will be security and better educational systems. For instance, chances of landing a great job at a prestigious company are far higher in a large city like Toronto or New York than they are in a small town. The higher the opportunities, the higher the standard of living.

Second, because so many people may move to one location, this process may leave cities completely devoid of buildings. In other words, urbanisation may alter the infrastructure of cities, which may have undesirable effects. As a result of globalisation, many cities now have much higher levels of noise pollution and a lack of green space than previously existed. This is because there are more automobiles on the roads and more people living in one location. It increases the effects of greenhouse gases. Some international study, for example, suggests that metropolitan centres have more deforested areas than small towns. Because these areas are used for the construction of housing and highways. To maintain a balance between the benefits and drawbacks, careful control is required.

In summary, immigration has been portrayed in our society as people looking for better possibilities, which is a valid premise. But the unfavourable consequences may jeopardise the planet for the coming generations.
