For example, we can upload documents anytime in any format and store our important documents in Google Drive to have instant access anytime and anywhere. Apart from that, the internet is a platform for different helpful software and social media service providers like Facebook and Instagram. Without the internet, people will be isolated, distant from others, and less tech-savvy. But it is also true that other valuable and irreplaceable inventions like electricity and other technologies used in smartphones are also there. The Internet is more used by the users in their smartphones and in case smartphones come with the latest technologies, the internet will have no use at all. A mobile runs on a battery and electricity literally keeps the smartphone going. So without electricity, the use of the internet is negligible. The development of human society has led to myriad innovations that have proved to be beneficial in the long-run. The Internet is popular because of smartphones and other intelligent devices, which are mostly dependent on electricity. So, without lowering the position of the internet as one of the greatest inventions of all time, I would like to prioritise smartphones and electricity. Since, I believe all these are significant discoveries and inventions that have made our life so easy.

Despite certain advantages of the Internet, I believe such a statement is exaggerated. The Internet has turned out to be a really helpful source in this digital era. It has helped us to communicate, disseminate and store required information. A number of services or portals have been established that are useful for commencing these tasks, like OneDrive, DropBox that offer upload, etc. Moreover, the internet is an important tool that is responsible for facilitating the spread of information. Facebook, a social network that serves as a virtual platform for people to share their views whenever and wherever they choose, is an ideal illustration of this. Despite the fact that the Internet's importance cannot be emphasised, I am certain that there are even more significant technologies. The first is electricity, which is required for practically all electrical gadgets to operate. In other words, if there was no energy, the Internet would be useless. The second category is engines, which may be found in a wide range of applications, from antique hydropower trains to today's high-end solar-powered jets. People would have to rely on animal- or human-powered vehicles if engines were not available, which are frequently more slower than their motorised equivalents. To summarise, the Internet provides tremendous benefits to humanity. However, there have been far more crucial discoveries, such as electricity, motors, and mobile phones. These three technologies, along with the Internet, will, in my opinion, continue to be the pillars of mankind in the future.

Since time immemorial, humans have proved that incorporation of innovation and development leads to a number of advancements. One such development that the human race has witnessed is the internet age. Some people believe the internet to be the most important innovation to date because of its numerous applications. However, I somewhat disagree with this viewpoint, and I will explain why in the following lines. The digital period in which we now live is heavily influenced by the use of the internet, which has significantly influenced our way of life. Undermining all other scientific contrivances and leaps, on the other hand, is egregiously unjust. For communication, for example, telephones and subsequently mobile phones simplified our lives by allowing us to send and receive messages. Second, as is often noted, the destination is not the most important aspect of a voyage. It's the stations that dropped across the road that contribute to the excitement, and the same can be said about the internet's inception.However, these would not have been possible if the electricty was not produced and invented by man. The invention of electricty and allowing people to actually connect with one another through different channels in conducting business is because electricfied magnetism. People would definitely live in darkness without electricity and would have to suffer extreme weather conditions as well. Moreover, internet has been able to exemplify itself because of the immense electric connection. Accordingly, proclaiming the internet to be the most important invention is inaccurate. Since then, there have been numerous advancements that are so indispensable that living without them would be nearly impossible. To sum up, the internet has been a technical boon to all of us. However, it is clearly not the single most significant scientific breakthrough that we have been gifted with thus far.
