Many countries have been providing regulatory protections for the historical places within a country in order to save the rich culture and heritage of a country. However, many are of the view that these older buildings should be replaced with new and modern buildings. The following essay would be discussing about importance of protecting these old buildings along with evaluating how it should not be an hindrance for a country’s developmemt.
Rich heritage and architecture represent the struggle and feelings of patriotism of a country. These heritage must be protected and popularized instead of replacing them with the new ones. Many scientists are of the opinion that with the passing time such buildings become weak and might fall due to storms. These buildings should be left untouched and should be left upon the mother earth to deal with it. However, the government must take initiatives to preserve these buildings. Every citizen of a country must be aware of the rich past of their native place. Such knowledge comes from these preserved buildings and their architecture.
According to some people it becomes monotonous to preserve the old architecture and they must be replaced by the thrilled and new architecture. Nowadays, it becomes quite shocking for everyone to see architectural buildings. Buildings are not just built in a particular shape, while they are being constructed in various shapes like a circle or boat shape. But the old buildings occupy a special place in everyone's heart. Especially if that building represents some struggle.
Accordingly, for modern times development, it is important to induce technology driven aspects through which development of the society could take place. Hence, modern developments should grow and induced in the society with the presence of the past architecture and culture. The architecture must be represented in every sphere but without distorting the feelings of people. There are many emotions and past experiences and struggles connected with such buildings. These must be protected as well as respected.
Band 7.5 IELTS Essay
In these modern times, people are more concerned about the modernization of all parts of life. Accordingly some people are of the view that historical buildings, which are under the protection of law, should be moderned with the help of reconstruction of their structure. The following essay would consider the view of protecting the historical buildings and their presence in terms of social progression.
Starting with the significance of ancient buildings, they represent the rich past of a nation. They represent the glory and feelings of connection with the past. Their existence ensures that the young generation remembers the old architecture and the feelings connected to it. It is important to maintain the feeling of patriotism within people and upcoming generations. They must be made aware of the past struggle and experiences that indirectly are the reason for their existence. While old architecture like houses might be stressful for people to live in them. As it carries a threat with them. Such buildings become weak by the passing time and might fall due to storms and rain. Such houses must be knocked down and new architecture must be made. But in the case of ancient buildings, they must be kept untouched.
Such buildings represent with them the old architectural techniques. Architecture must have increased the advancement and technology but the old techniques are always beneficial. People pursuing architecture get motivated and inspired by old buildings. They get influenced and this makes them feel connected to their works. It is also beneficial for the nation as tourists come to visit and admire such buildings. There are many people all over the world who are interested in exploring the different architecture and old buildings. This becomes a good attraction for tourism which benefits the local community. For many people, it is a medium to escape the stressful lives of today. It offers them relief and comfort because there are many emotions connected with such architecture. There are stories behind every architecture. If one starts analyzing such stories they get to know about the mentality behind each building. To conclude, such buildings must be protected and preserved by the government. They must not be knocked down. However, new architecture should be represented but without touching the old ones.
Band 8.5 IELTS Essay
It is known that historical buildings are today protected and preserved by the government. These buildings serves as the cultural heritage of a country and their reconstruction would imply replacing the historicity from a country. The essay would depict the importance of the istorical buildings in enhancing a country’s culture. These buildings and monuments represent a particular instance or phase of time. History and struggles remain immortal due to such glory and architecture. The famous and inspiring personalities are remembered due to their creations. But some people are of the view that these buildings must be replaced by the new architecture. This point of view is somehow destructive of the feelings of people.
Old buildings may have outdated sanitation and drainage systems, and they may not fit the lifestyle of the 21st century. Also, preservation requires a lot of funds. They might require a lot of care and effort. to preserve them. But they are the main attraction for tourism. This contributes to the development of the nations. Also, these buildings and architecture become the medium for the spread of culture and significance of the nation. The culture is represented in these architecture. The stories behind the architecture makes us connected with our past and struggles. Many people are curious to know about the rich past which helps them get inspired by innovative ideas. Taking inspiration from old architecture generates new ideas and innovative themes. To conclude, old architecture must be protected and preserved. New architecture must be constructed without destroying and replacing the old ones.
