Topic:The given pie chart highlights UAE government spending in the year 2000. The total budget was at 315 billion. You are required to summarize the given information by reporting its main features and make comparisons wherever relevant. Write at least 150 words
Band 7 Answer
The pie chart provides information about government spending in UAE in the year 2000. The budget is mainly classified into Health, Law and Order, Education, Defence, Social Security, Transport, Industry and agricultural employment, etc.
The majority of the budget ie 1/3rdis taken up by social security, which includes pensions, employment assistance, and other benefits. The 2ndhighest spending is incurred by the health and personal social service sector. 53 billion AED or 15% of the budget is occupied by the hospital and medical services sector. 38 billion AED or 12 % of the budget is occupied by the Education sector. 22 billion AED or 7% of budget is occupied by defence while 17 billion expenditure is incurred by Law and Order. Expenditure of 37 billion AED is incurred by the housing and transport sector. Other expenditure incurred an expenditure of 23 billion AED. Overall, UAE government majorly spent its budget on Social welfare and health. Other major sectors of the budget include education, defense, law, and order. The least amount is spend on Transport at 9 billion AED.
Band 7.5 Answer
The given pie chart provides the expenditure details of the UAE government from the budget of 315 billion AED in 2000. The budget is classified into different sectors along with their expenditure ratio.
This includes the sectors of housing heritage and environment, debt interest, transport, social security, defence, educatrion, law and order health and personal social care, industry, agriculture and employment and other miscellaneous expenditure. As per analysis, it is clear that the majority of budget was allocated to social security at AED 100 billion. UAE government spent AED 53 billion on health and personal social services. It is followed by AED 38 billion on education sector. The least amount of budget was spent at AED 9 billion on the transport sector. While debt interest and other expenditure accounted for AED 23 billion of the budget, the Housing heritage sector accounted for AED 15 billion, and industry, agriculture and employment accounted for budget of AED 13 billion. Overall, the highest expenditure of UAE government was on social security and least expenditure was on transport in the year 2000.
Band 8 Answer
The above pie chart provides clear details regarding the expenditure annually of the UAE government from the budget of 315 billion AED in the year 2000. There are numeorus areas where the budget has been divided based on the priority of the government of UAE.
Accordingly, these different sectors include sectors of housing heritage and environment, debt interest, transport, social security, defence, educatrion, law and order health and personal social care, industry, agriculture and employment and other miscellaneous expenditure. The pie chart shows clearly that a budget of 100 billion had been induced for the purpose of social security accounting to a huge sum of the entire national budget. Further, health and personal social services is the second highest with a budget of 53 billion AED by the government in 2000. The education industry was set up for a 38 billion AED ensuring that proper health and eductaion is provided to the people of the country. However, the transport industry seems to have the least allocation of the national budget at only 9 billion AED in 2000. Even the miscellaneous expenditure is far more than the transport with 23 billion allocated for the same. Further, law and order had 17 billion, housin heritage had 15 billion and defence had 22 billion and industry and agriculture had 13 billion.
