Topic: Describe a beach that you visited and liked

Sample Answer:

Being a beach-lover, I often plan trips to places with a beach or sea-side. About a year ago, I went to visit the Marina Beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I went there with a couple of my friends. It is the longest urban beach in the country. Unlike the Juhu Beach in Mumbai, the Marina Beach is sandy. The beach is stretched across 400 meters. The beach caters to almost 20,000 everyday.

My friend and I decided to visit the beach on a weekend. The beach was somewhat over crowded on the day we visited. The walk from the side to the beach was at least a 10 minute walk. The scorching sun above had made the sand so hot that it was extremely uncomfortable for us to walk. There were several stalls on the sides. There was also a merry-go-round on the side. As most of my friends are Thalassophile, we love diving or swimming in the sea. However, on reaching the beach we were informed that swimming was banned due to the turbulent undercurrent. We were disappointed on hearing it. We couldn’t sit on the beach as it was extremely hot on the day. We went to one of the food stalls to buy coconut water. After the sun went down we went on to sit on the beach. Watching the sun go down while sitting on the beach was breathtaking and a highlight moment of the visit.

Topic: Write about an adventurous activity that you want to try

Sample Answer:

From surfing to canoeing , there are a plethora of water sports out there. Being a Thalassophile, I try to indulge in almost all the water sports as it satiates my need for adventure and thrill. One of the water sports that is on my bucket list is underwater walking. As the name suggests underwater walking is nothing but a mechanism that allows people to walk on the sea floor while relishing the beautiful marine life underwater. It doesn’t require much gear, only a glass helmet so that we could view marine life closely. The best part of this sport is that it requires any prior knowledge of swimming or diving.

Being a sea-lover I have used every opportunity to dive or swim in the pristine blue waters. But underwater walking is, I believe, a whole other experience. Walking amidst the beautiful sea creatures, sounds adventurous and fun at the same time. After research I found out that the North Bay island in India is one of the top destinations for underwater sea walking. I have seen several videos of this adventure which have left me enthralling. I will soon be planning a trip to the Andaman and Nicobar islands to check off underwater sea walking from my bucket list.
