Topic: Describe a day when you played with kids on the street

Sample Answer:

My friends and I have been walking down the street one evening after a long walk and hangout. We met after six months and the group was really excited to sit and gossip. While we were walking on the street, there were a group of kids playing together. These kids were ragamuffins but were extremely cute and playful. The kids saw us and came to us to play. While we joined the group of gamins to play we found that we extremely enjoyed it. Maybe because it was after a long gap of years that all of us together were actually playing and enjoying our time. I was completely tired and yet I wanted to keep playing and not stop. It made all of us nostalgic about our own childhood and thereby being able to live and cheer ourselves up. We were talking to those kids and discussing what they do, whether they study in a school to which some kids replied that they do study in a government school where they are given free education, while some said that they are beggars by the day and work in small factories and tea shops by the night. Similarly, we found many vagabond kids and their parents on the road realizing how privileged we are as humans to be having a job and a home to live in. We played and talked to them for two hours. While two of our friends work in an NGO for the poor and said that they would make some calls and ensure that these children get proper education, food and clothes. The kids showed us how they made scarecrows and how they loved playing with it. The tramp kids were rightfully given them a chance to live, to be educated and hence, we also contributed our bit to help these kids. It was really a great day that we spent and felt like we actually did something meaningful to help those kids.

Topic: Describe the time when you visited a village

Sample Answer:

It has always been a tradition in the family that during festivities we would visit the village in order to celebrate the festivals with our entire family. The village is located far away from the city and I love visiting my grandparents during that time of the year. However, due to my parents’ work schedule and transfers, we were unable to visit the village for more than ten years. I was really young when I last visited. I used to see the village having large pieces of land covered in the crops, which belonged to our grandparents and some to our other relatives. I remember the last time I visited I was twelve years old and I went to play with the kids nearby who were complete ragamuffins. While I went to play with them I remember the entire field of crops were filled with scarcrows all in between the crop fields to keep the crows and other birds away from destroying the crops. The tramp kids used to continuously play and enjoy together while also helping their fathers in the fields. The farmers who worked on the fields also were ragamuffins because of their improper dressing sense as they used to work for long hours in the fields. What i also noticed while I was that young was the presence of beggars and vagabonds who in order to get money roamed around the village, wandered without home or money or food and lived a difficult life. While I do not consider the city life to be difficult, I might consider the life of village people to be extremely difficult especially for me considering that I spend most of the time in my city. However, the ragamuffin kids, the tramp people always remain happy and cheerful in their life, despite hardships that some of them have to face. The last time I visited the village it was definitely wonderful and made me enjoy my life and vacation as a child.
