Topic: Describe a birthday party that you visited recently.

Model Answer:

I love to visit parties and enjoy being with my friends and family. Recently, it was my friend's birthday and we all planned a surprise for him. The birthday was on the weekend and this made it easier for us to gather more people. Me and my friends booked a club for Saturday as we would surprise Nitin. I was waiting to see the look on his face when he would come to know about this. It was his 28th birthday. We called all his family and our family members. There were around 50 people in total. We spoke to the club owner to decorate the club. They made all the arrangements. As it was a surprise for him, we called him and asked to visit the club as we usually do on weekends. No one had wished him since this morning. I went to the club an hour before the scheduled time to see if everything was arranged properly. There were balloons of different colors all around. They have decorated the walls and written his name with huge letters. As he liked black and gold, most of the things were done in black and gold. Everyone slowly arrived before 8 P.M. Nitin was asked to come at 8:30. Once he arrived and entered the club, everyone shouted “Happy Birthday”. His physiognomy changed instantly. He was delighted and it was evident from his expressions. His parents went to him and hugged him. He had a surprised look on his face. Nitin cut the cake and we blasted some part poppers. After the cake was cut, we ordered drinks for everyone along with food and snacks. Everyone brought gifts for Nitin. He was very happy to receive the gifts. We could tell from his expression that he wanted to thank us. It was a nice evening. After dinner, we all headed home together.

Topic: Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Model Answer:

People in today’s world are very competitive. Everyone is targeting a good job, a good house, a good car and lots of money. Some people say that it is best to accept a bad situation or shortage of money or an unacceptable job. Some people say that everyone needs to try and improve their condition. I would say that it totally depends on the person as a whole. If a person can deal with less money or a bad situation or an unsatisfactory job, though he might have a grim expression, he is good to go with it. If that person does not have the urge to get out of that situation no one can help him do so. For some instances, it is better to accept a bad situation or an unsatisfactory job. For example, a person is doing a job and he is not satisfied with it. This can be said from his physiognomy while he is working. The job pays for his food, stay and clothing. His family survives on that money. If he leaves the job and tries for a better one, there is no guarantee that he will get a better job. He will not have any money to feed his family. This person might not have a happy profile on his face, but he needs to continue with the job. It is important to understand the situation of a person before pushing him/ her to try for better opportunities. We can always try and improve ourselves for a better life. For some people it is easier said than done as they always have backup from their family members. Some people do not have that and it becomes difficult for them. Everyone wants lots of money, a better job and a better life. So it is best to always try for that. Good life is all about relativity. A life where I have an amount of money is good for me but the same amount of money can be less for other people. I believe that one should set their own goal. They should not stop until they reach their goal. Everyone in this world cannot have the same life and hence, targeting one’s self goal is very important.
