Topic: Society must have some rules and laws else it will collapse. To what extent do you agree?

Sample Answer:

The rules and regulations are established in a society so that it doesn't fall into anarchy. Modern humans are not necessarily violent creatures. Since ancient times, humans have been strictly adhering to violence only to find food for themselves. They have been hunters and gatherers. Times have changed and humans have evolved into more civilized beings. Those who have diverted are kept in check through stringent rules and regulations. These are necessary to ensure that we do not fall prey to barbarism. History has been evidence of how power-hungry humans have been. Many of the wars have been fought which have led to the loss of lives. The only relief is that we do realise that it is shameful to indulge in those wars. That is why firm laws play a vital role in ensuring humans do not lose their humanity. We still cannot confirm that if the hard and fast rules are revoked, will the peace and harmony in society will continue or not. Even now, so many criminal cases are filed. This suggests that we surely need laws and rules to behave in a refined way. If these laws are not inflexible, they might collapse society and we might go back to become uncouth.

Topic: Describe one rule that must be followed by everyone in the society.

Sample Answer:

Rules are made by the government to ensure that everyone coexists in society and lives in peace and order. Some rules however must be implemented strictly as the consequences can be grave. One of the rules that I think must be firmly followed is wearing helmets by pillion riders. So many people lose their lives as the passengers in the back seat do not wear helmets. Reports have shown that sometimes the rider who is riding come out of the accident alive but the pillion riders succumb to death. The laws are passed by the government that the pillion riders must wear helmets too but the law should be followed stringently. Failing to ensure inflexible laws in the country had already led to the loss of so many lives. The public should also act responsibly and participate by consent. In India, wearing a helmet is seen as an escape from the penalty charged by the cops than something that prevents life. The first sight of the cops would compel riders to instantly wear helmets which otherwise would be hanging by the handle or held by the pillion rider or buried inside the boot space. There is an urgent need for the government of every country and state to intervene and implement hard and fast rules so that people can eventually accept them and the consciousness to act sensibly should come naturally to them.
