Sample Answer:

Getting admission to one of the premier institutes of the country is not everyone’s cup of tea. I got extremely excited when I received a letter of confirmation for admission from the University of Delhi. Although I was provisionally selected and the final admission was subject to verification of documents, my happiness knew no bounds. The university has released a tentative date of admission to the course which will commence from 27th February and will go on for a week. I have to make the necessary arrangements to obtain my temporary documents by this week as the original mark sheet is not yet released by my previous university. I have worked immensely hard to clear the exam and offered my sweat and blood while preparing. Now that I have got admission, I have plans to continue studying with utmost dedication so that my excitement and happiness of stepping closer to my goal is not short-term. I hope to make new friends as in the previous university, my friendship turned out to be conditional since I am not in touch with any of my previous friends. With time, the priority of every person changes and I believe that has happened to my friend circle. Most of my friends have got married and settled down in their life, others have relocated and have got busy with their lives. I am looking forward to having a great time in my new college.

Topic: Describe a trip you took as a child

Sample Answer:

Travelling as a child is always an exciting event. We do so much pre-planning starting from the things that we would need to carry to the dresses to the places we would be visiting. While it is common for both kids and adults, the level of enthusiasm varies greatly between the two age groups. My father promised me on the condition that if I score good marks in my class 6th final exam, he would take me to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. I worked extremely hard that year and managed to top in the whole class. As vowed, my father planned a provisional visit to the island for the week after. I was extremely happy and started planning for it. I packed all my things in advance and started learning more about the place. I was immensely fascinated with the stunning beaches that the island had. However, my excitement lived for a short-term when my father informed me that due to urgent work, he cannot take me to the island in the next week as planned. It got postponed and I had to wait for a fortnight to witness my dream uniting with reality. My father gave a new tentative date of departure and cheered me up with lots of ice creams and chocolates. I was pleased that at least the trip wasn’t cancelled. I knew that his work was important and the delay was temporary. After a few days, the trip finally saw the dawn of the day and we left for the island. It was a memorable experience for me as I enjoyed it so much on that trip. My father took me scuba diving and kayaking. I never experienced anything like that before and I heartily thanked my father for creating such beautiful memories with me. Now, when I look back I feel fortunate for the love and affection he showered me with.
