Sample Answer:

Electric cars have come a long way as they offer numerous advantages. One of the most common benefits of electric cars over their predecessor petrol cars is they make it feasible to save money. Petrol cars run on fuel and that burns a hole in the pocket. Electric cars cost less money after purchase and don’t require a visit to the gas station. They can be recharged with a simple home socket. They are designed realistically making it look no less than a petrol car and offer the same level of comfort. Besides, electric cars are also environmentally friendly. They do not emit harmful gases in the atmosphere thus helping us act sensibly towards nature. They certainly can be a good alternative to petrol cars due to features like quick charge, internal combustion, comfort and as consciousnesses for the environment. The goal to make a city pollution-free can only be attained when a majority of its people are driving electric cars. Since electric cars are practically designed, they are already competing against petrol-driven cars. However, the manufacturing cost needs to be brought down as well so that the consumers can buy it at an affordable rate and it can soon become a reality of the future rather than just a vision.

Topic: Describe a change that can improve your area.

Sample Answer:

In recent times, my locality has been facing a grave challenge. It is the unsupervised roaming of the stray dogs that have started biting children and old people in the colony. It is not feasible for them to go out especially in the evening when a large number of dogs appear from nearby colonies and unite to form a gang. The elderly people in our colony mostly go for evening walks and children play at that hour. The dogs have made it practically impossible for them to carry out their regular schedule. They have bitten so many people in our colony that now it's high time that the municipality intervenes and makes some changes. To attain normalcy, the municipal corporation should ensure that the dogs are sterilised and are either left in the pet care centre or trained to be better dogs. The residents of the colony are asked to act sensibly and not hurt the furry creatures but take necessary steps to defend themselves. If the MCD can take care of the colony dogs by finding a workable solution, it will ease the life of so many people. Brutality against animals cannot be done and hence the need of the hour is that the MCD must listen to the pleas of the people.
