Topic: Write about a weekend that you enjoyed and still remember.

Sample Answer:

One of my most memorable weekends would be around a year ago when me and my siblings went to Goa. We were bored at home and had not planned a trip in a long time. Thus, we planned for a trip to Goa. We booked our flights and reached Goa in about an hour or so. We were residing in Mumbai, thus, it didn't take much time to reach Goa. Seeing Goa from above we could clearly see the beaches from above. I hadn’t been to Goa before, however, my brother had visited South Goa. South Goa, as my brother suggested, was more tranquil as compared to North Goa. We also could witness the distinct French and Portuguese architecture in South Goa. Not that it couldn’t be seen in North Goa, but as we preferred to spend our weekend in a tranquil spot, South Goa was a more conspicuous choice. Moreover all the famous churches of Goa are located in South Goa. We booked a homestay that also had a swimming pool. The owners of the house were quite friendly. In the evenings me and my siblings would go and sit by the beach. South Goa has many beaches, like Agonda, Miramar, Cola, etc. The beach that I liked the most was Agonda Beach. As fewer people visit the beaches in South Goa, the water sports were more fun. We enjoyed parasailing and the banana ride. We also wanted to try scuba diving, but due to time constraints we couldn't accomplish it. I was thrilled by the water sports, my sister on the other hand had blatantly refused. We couldn’t force her much as she was scared of water. We also enjoyed the food at beach shacks. It was a fun and memorable trip and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Topic: Describe the first time you used a foreign language

Sample Answer:

I have an innate love for foreign languages. Every year I make it a point to learn a new language. It helps me not only enhance my froeign language skills but also learn about new cultures. About a month ago, me and my friend were watching a series called Narcos. We thought we had downloaded the series in English, but to our dismay the series was all in Spanish. There was also no subtitle file. When we started watching it was quite apparent that my friend couldn’t understand a thing. As I had learnt Spanish for about 6 months, I started explaining to her each line. It was evidently the first time that I used a foreign language. My friend was downright appalled by my knowledge of Spanish and appreciated my love for foreign languages. It was fun watching the series together. However, we didn't watch the entire show, as it was getting tedious, explaining each and every line. We somehow scouted the subtitle file and then watched the rest of the series in English. Even though I only translated one episode it gave me the confidence to use the language frequently.
