Topic: Describe what you did on a leave during the week commencing 15 December.

Sample Answer:

I am a person who takes leaves at least 2 times in a year. This helps me to spend time with myself, friends and family. Away from professional work, I usually spend these days travelling to some favourite places that are on my wishlist. This year, I took a week long leave commencing 15 December. I started off the first day travelling to Coorg, also known as Madeikeri. This is a hill station in the southern part of India. We were a group of 8 bikers and we began the journey from Bangalore. We started the road trip very early in the morning at around 6 A.M to avoid traffic and enjoy the weather. The distance from Bangalore to Coorg is about 250 Kilometres. We began our journey and were estimated to reach Coorg by afternoon. We stopped twice in the middle to have our breakfast and lunch. Coorg is situated on the slopes of the western ghats. It is also known as the Scotland of India and is the largest coffee producer in india. We reached Coorg and stayed there for 3 days. The 3 day tour started off with beautiful views of mountains and valleys with astonishing waterfalls. The resort that we booked provided food and lodging. The day began with breakfast and ended with dinner. It was a beautiful experience for 5 days. After a week-long holiday which commenced from 15 December, we came back to our normal life.

Topic: Gadgets and electronic goods have paved the way in our life for good. Discuss the effects of technology in our life and your views.

Sample Answer:

We have commenced our journey of life in the 21st century with a lot of electronic goods. Our life is surrounded by electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, laptops, computers, electric heater, TV, Fridge, Microwave, geyser etc. Without these, our life would not be complete. To start off the day, we make tea or coffee and we use an electric kettle to heat water. We use a toaster to toast our bread for breakfast, and use a geyser to heat water for bath. Mobile phones and laptops are used on a daily basis for our personal or official works. We cannot start our life without the use of electronics. It was not the same at the beginning of human life. The more we progressed or evolved, the more of these inventions earned a place in our life. These things have made our life easier. We can watch TV and start the weekends off with a relaxing mood. Though these gadgets have made our life easier, it also causes severe effects on the environment. The demand for electricity is increasing with the increase of electronic goods. Imagine not having electricity and all of these devices for a whole day, it will be impossible to live our life. Humans have become so dependent on these things that we cannot commence or end our life without them. I personally feel that we need to use electronics in our life but we can start saving the environment. We need to use them as little as possible for the demand to increase. This will reduce the effect on the environment. We as humans also will be less dependent on gadgets.
