Model Answer

Some people become very obsessive with time. I do believe in the fact that no child is born with any obsession. The addiction comes with age and when one feels connected towards something. This addiction or obsession can take you up in life or throw you down. I have seen such an obsession of my brother with racing bikes. When he was 10 years old, he used to race with his friends on his bicycle. He had excessive love for his bike and this slowly grew. When he was 16, he started racing his motorbike. At first my family was not supportive of the fact that he wants to be a racer but slowly he tried to improve. My parents feared that he might meet with accidents which might cause a huge loss. Once he decided to take this professionally, he was pretty good and started winning races. He has never looked back since then. This addiction had made him the person he is today. He loves his profession and is at the peak of his career. This love and compulsiveness towards racing has been fruitful.

Social media has become an obsession, almost like an addiction.The current generation might cease to survive without social media. Obsession of the need to tweet or post every moment of our lives, has become a trend. Of course there are positives to technology and social media but there are negatives also. Social media has effectively removed barriers of geography and language and brought the whole world into our palms. However, it has come at a cost. We have begun to lose our humanity. People do not dream of roaming the earth and going to new places. The obsession of the media has brought the whole world to their table tops. I often see children using Phones and laptops and it has become addictive. Back when I was their age, the only thing I ever wanted to do was play in the mud and run around. I believe that social media, while powerful, hinders our communication and removes emotion and value behind what we write and post. The obsession of social media might lead to dangerous crimes and also affect the youth. While it is absolutely beneficial to use social media to connect with people all over the world, we should also keep in mind the consequences. The excessive use can harm our eyes, brains and as a person. I believe that the use should be limited. Social media should become a part of life but not life itself.
