Sample Answer:

Many times we come across a situation where things do not unfold in the way we want them to. This happened to me too when I joined my first job. I was assigned a task to organise an event for which I needed to collect viewpoints from the team. I requested everyone to give their inputs but only a few did. I felt terrible as it was the first responsibility that I was allotted and feared failing in that too. Many of the co-workers were extremely passive and lacked any kind of will to contribute new ideas. On the day of the event, despite working hard all alone, everyone started criticising it. People were acting obnoxiously which I did not expect. They started passing nasty comments on the way I organised the whole event. I felt unpleasant as I worked really hard for it without anybody’s contribution and yet instead of praising it, my colleagues started making unsavoury remarks. I thought it would have been much better if they gave a positive criticism instead of a negative one. Within a short period, I resigned from that organisation as I found it extremely difficult to cope with the work culture they had and the behaviour of the people who worked.

Topic: Write about the importance of a good neighbourhood.

Sample Answer:

Neighbourhood plays a significant role in people’s lives as humans cannot live in isolation. It is our interaction with neighbours that gives us a sense of community. Many times they become so close to us that we often view them as no less than a family. However, maintaining such a relationship requires avoiding obnoxious behaviour and keeping the conduct cordial and compassionate. Many times, it happens that due to simple issues, people start getting into nasty arguments. We need to understand that living amongst people requires avoiding such scenarios and living harmoniously. They can be of great help when one has to leave for their hometown and they would want someone to watch over their house. They not only support mentally if the relationship established is not unpleasant, but they also support emotionally in times of need. If the neighbours are good, then moving into a new house becomes easier and one instantly falls in love with the surroundings. It is after all people who make our living in a city worthwhile. The relationship can be harmonious both ways and hence it is necessary that we too avoid unsavoury language or behaviour. Giving a simple smile and warm greetings can be a good start towards maintaining a healthy relationship in the neighbourhood.
