Sample Answer

In modern days, lectures are a great way to transfer knowledge and ideas. Though many teachers and professors from different fields empower students with education. I have attended many lectures. On the memorable incident that I would like to share with you, when I was in college pursuing an English major. I was notified about a week ago about my selection test, which let me tell you it is very important. Our faculty Mrs. Bhattacharjee informed us that the attendance needs to be 70 percent along with the selection test result. As many had inadequate attendance they had to go through the harangue of our Principal Sir. We also had a seminar to attend about our career that weekend. In the election, Mrs. Bhattacharjee rants about the possible career opportunities that we have. We can choose whatever and whichever paths call us. She also added that choosing odd paths would surely bring a lot of criticism from family, friends, and society but once you are successful; they all would stop blabbering about it. The lecture was quite intense and moving. I made up my mind to become a professor in the future. Also, I need to increase my degree for that, no matter how much knowledge I have my degree is a possible proof of it. Following the stigma isn’t me, but I really enjoy literature so to become a lecturer in the college was always my goal. This is a learning experience that will never end. Lastly to conclude I would like to add that the seminar that day by our beloved teacher was very informative and I’m glad that I attended it. Also, the doubt clearing round regarding the future is evidently the best part of the lecture.

Topic: Some people believe that education is the key to tackling hunger worldwide while others feel that the answer is in food aid. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Sample Answer

Hunger is a big problem in most of the countries in the world. Most people believe that education is the only way to combat hunger. Well, there is a harangue on how education is the long term solution to this problem. There are a lot of charitable organizations that are always trying to help with one or another way to tackle hunger with the immediate solution of food aid. Well, according to me, education is definitely a long term and also a permanent solution to this difficulty. Many charities put an emphasis on the emergency situations wherein food aid is the immediate answer. For an instance, a sub-Saharan nation in Africa was facing famine. These kinds of situations are unpredictable. These mostly occur due to weather conditions or maybe due to the government instability. But in these kinds of situations, the people over there suffer a lot. The criticism of the government or the weather conditions won’t help the suffering people. This famine would lead to malnutrition and then eventually to death. It would be difficult to deal with the source of the problem but the immediate help can help, like the food aid, that will actually keep people over there alive. The immediate problems can be ended but in the long run education is the key. People with education can lecture about unemployment. The educated people can bring the actual change in the system. Dwelling with hunger can be dealt for countable number of times but education can provide candidates a good job to secure their future and also to eradicate poverty and hunger. Lastly, though food aid is useful and necessary for immediate cases, ignoring the underlying problem beneath is not a solution. Hence, education is clearly a better solution to every problem, let it be immediate or long-term.
