Topic: Describe your favorite dress

Sample Answer:

I have many dresses but my favorite piece of clothing is a brownish yellow saree that I had bought for my college farewell. I specifically bought this saree as it was a pure silk saree from Chennai. The saree was a gift from my aunt who had stayed in Tamil Nadu for quite some time now. I don't usually prefer wearing light colors as I am dark toned. Light colors do not blend well with my skin tone. Thus, I loved the saree’s perfect blend of tawny, white and brown as it was perfect for my skin tone.

Another thing that I loved about the saree is that I can pair it with either a brown or golden colored blouse. It was the first ever saree that I had ever bought. I don't feel comfortable wearing a saree as I am unable to manage it. However, I eventually got accustomed to it and now wear it on special occasions. I don't have a fulvous colored clothing in my wardrobe. It is the only brownish yellow saree that I have till now.

Topic: Write about a piece of clothing that you received as a gift

Sample Answer:

It was my 29th birthday when I received a wonderful piece of clothing as a gift from my mother. My mother had received it from my grandmother. As a tradition my mother decided to pass it on to me. It was a tawny colored kurta that had some remarkable bead work. This kurta had some pretty colorful flowers along its neckline. Surprisingly, the beadwork and the embroidery on the Kurta was done by grandmother. She loved doing embroidery work and had embroidered several pieces of clothing.

I usually buy my own clothes, as oftentimes the clothes that others use for me are either too gaudy or do not fit me properly. It is a tedious task to get my clothes altered everytime. But to my surprise the Kurta that my mother gifted fitted me perfectly. It matched perfectly with my skin tone. It was a beautiful kurta that I often pair with pants or a palazzo. I wear this Kurta frequently. For quite some time I had been searching for a yellowish brown kurta but I couldn't find it anywhere. As I like dark shades, it was a perfect gift for me. In Fact is the best gift that I had ever received on my birthday.
