Topic: One can identify rotten food with its odor. Explain.

Sample Answer:

It is true that once can determine the state of a food by the odor that is released by it. A fetid odor is the sign that food isn’t fit for consumption. When a food starts stinking, it is often due to the growth of spoilage microbes. Noxious odors are emitted from two different sources, chemicals that are released from the food or chemicals that are directly produced by microbes. Malodorous odor from food items can be released in several flavors, depending upon the type of spoilage microbe and the food being spoiled. However, it is no lie that humans spoil food intentionally to add the appropriate taste. Thus, it becomes contradictory to state that a mephitic smell can’t be used to determine or categorize the quality of a food. Many of the microorganisms that can cause food poisoning do not give off a reeking odor when grown in food. Just because a suspicious food smells bad does not mean that it is safe to eat. There are several food items that are considered luxury and good for consumption when they give off a fetid smell. These food items can be named as; stinky tofu, durian, tempeh and many more. Sense of smell acts as a major contributory system in the perception of food aromas and volatile flavors.

Bad breath can be regarded as a major lifestyle challenge for an individual. Giving off a fetid odor while having a deep conversation with someone can compromise your impression on them. Bad breath is common and is majorly addressed as halitosis. Olid breath can be caused due to odor-producing bacteria that grows in the mouth of living beings. This can be caused due to irregular brushing and flushing. Inappropriate mouth care schedule leads to accumulation of bacteria on the bits of food that is left in the mouth stuck between the teeth. This later leads to the reeking smell coming from the mouth. There are certain foods that are responsible for the cause of noxious odor, such as garlic and onion. Moreover, smoking can also be regarded as a major cause of foul breath coming from the mouth. It is important to take mephitic breath seriously. Not only can this have a significant psychological impact, but it is also a sign that oral health may be at stake. Halitosis has many common causes. One cause is poor oral hygiene. If you don't brush your teeth properly, the food in your teeth will start to spoil and give off a foul odor. However, bad breath may also be associated with oral bacteria, especially anaerobic bacteria. Anaerobic bacteria "breath" compounds other than oxygen, many of which use sulfur. The sulfur gas they emit is the cause of your bad breath.
