Meaning: to sing or hum in low voice or sentimental manner
Synonyms: carol, hum, lilt, quaver, warble

Sentence 1: Sanya felt glad that she was selected to croon that song.
Sentence 2: Myra’s croon in the singing competition won a prize.
Sentence 3: It was somewhat unbearable to hear the singer as his voice altered between a scream and a croon.

Being a melophile, I love listening to different genres of music. I have a playlist for every mood, thus, it is no exaggeration to say that I hear a variety of singers. If I had to pick one out of the lot, my favorite amongst these would be Shawn Mendes. I usually croon his songs when I am in a pleasant mood. Originally from Canada, Shawn Mendes is one the youngest popular singers. He is only 23 years old, has more than 90 awards for his singing, and is one the top 100 highest paid actors in the world. His songs have some of the best lyrics along with good music. Stitches,senorita, monster, are some of his top songs and my favorites as well. Infact, my best friend and I often hum his songs whenever we are happy. I still remember the day when I hosted a karaoke night at my home. At the end of the night, my friend and I warbled Shawn Mende’s songs. The one thing that I admire about him is that at the age of fourteen he started learning guitar by watching youtube videos. A year later he started posting covers on Youtube. He posted a Justin’s Bieber song and the next day earned thousands of likes and followers. In two years he rose to popularity, gained a million followers and became the third most-followed singer on Vine. I admire his hardwork and he will always remain one of my favorite singers.

I am a fan of the fauna around us as they adron the nature around us even more. Bird watching is my hobby, thus, I observe and admire different kinds of birds for their particular traits. I mostly love birds that carol in their beautiful voices. One of my favorite birds would be the Magpie Robin. Magpie Robin is an attractive bird and grows as big as 19 centimeters. Being a national bird of Bangladesh it is famous for its distinctive look. It is shiny blue black coloured in the upper area including the throat whereas the rest of the body is white. Its wings are brown with patches of white in them. Found majorly in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent, Magpie Robin belongs to the songbird daily. It is mostly found in urban gardens and forests. When Magpie Robin croons, they move their tail which is usually upright. Belonging to the songbird family, this bird can hum a variety of songs. People are usually noticed when Magpie Robin warbles. It is one of my favorite birds due to its beautiful physical features and its melodious voice.
