Topic: Describe the influence of foriegn TV programmes on people in your country

Sample Answer:

Living in an agrarian country, there are some parts of society that still believe in traditional values and beliefs. Today, with the development of many OTT platforms the youth is inclined towards watching foreign TV programs. Moreover, watching foriieign programs has some pros and cons. Sitting for long hours and watching TV programs leads people to forgo some of the traditional values such as specific habits, clothing style and even some behavioral patterns.

This inclination towards watching foreign programmes also causes laziness in people and they tend to relinquish their healthy habits. People are constantly influenced by watching foreign programs or simply by watching television. Undoubtedly people watch these shows for recreational purposes and to distract themselves from their stress prone lives.

Reports have shown that people watching foreign shows, lead people to imitate their lifestyle, habits and all together changing their thought process. These changes are more prominent amongst teenagers, as they are extremely influenced by everything they watch. Teenages are quick to abandon their traditional beliefs and adopt new ones.

I believe watching foreign TV programmes also has certain advantages. These teach us about a country’s culture, their beliefs and traditions. However, there is also stiff competition to the local TV shows, which is disadvantageous for the crews and the artists in the country.

Topic: Write about How do you think TV viewing habits change as people get older? Why?

Sample Answer

There are many of our habits that change as we grow older. The things that we used to love in our childhood, we often abjure as we grow older, like watching television. Evidently, from my personal experience watching TV used to be my favorite pastime when I was a kid, but today it is no longer an activity that I enjoy.

As I grew older I spent less and less time watching television. I was so busy with my college studies, projects, and reports that my interest in watching television gradually declined. I was busy working towards my priorities. I was diligently working for competitive exams beside college studies, thus, I had no time to watch television whatsoever. Additionally, I also became selective as to which Tv programmes to watch. I denounced some of the old shows that I was into, as I didn;t enjoy watching them anymore.

As we grow older we are inclined towards spending our time more wisely instead of mindlessly watching any television program. Thus, people abstain from watching just anything on the television. Moreover, people spend most of their time in front of the Television set watching news channels. It is a common trend and I believe will continue to remain the same.

Finally, as people are older they also are accustomed to certain hobbies or interests thus, only watch shows that are along the same lines. Thus, I think as we grow older, our personality develops, our likes and dislikes change and we shape our daily routine accordingly.
