The IELTS Testbuilder 1 has been developed for all candidates keeping in mind the level of preparation that is needed for the IELTS Exam. IELTS Test Builder 1 Overview

The IELTS Test Builder 1 is much more than a book of IELTS practice tests. It enables students to practice taking mock tests similar to exactly the kind they will encounter in the IELTS exam. It also provides candidates with valuable guidance practice and an easy explanation of concepts.

IELTS Listening

In this section, there is an IELTS Listening test in which you have to listen to given audio recordings which are being played by the examiner, and then after that, you have to answer the questions. These audio recordings are in the form of conversations between two or more people and monologues(Single person speaking).

There are 4 parts altogether in the listening test and the difficulty level of these parts increases with its number.

Part 1 Conversation between 2 people in an everyday social context. (e.g. a conversation to book a room in a hotel)
Part 2 A monologue set in an everyday social context. (e.g. a talk on using time effectively)
Part 3 Conversation among 3 or 4 people set in an educational or training context. (e.g. students discussing an assignment)
Part 4 Monologue related to academics. (e.g. a university lecture)

IELTS Reading

The IELTS Reading section (Academic) is divided mainly into 3 parts. These parts consist of a long paragraph related to topics like sociology, science and can even be some form of illustration.

The difficulty level of these sections increases from part 1 to part 3.

The IELTS Test Builder 1 -Reading section is developed according to the questions that are asked in the main exam which comprises 3 paragraphs, for which you will get a total of 60 minutes to complete. There are 40 questions in this section with each question carrying 1 point, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. But you need to keep a check on the spelling, as an incorrect spelling will be considered an incorrect answer. This is an IELTS vocabulary builder, which helps you ace your IELTS score.

IELTS Writing

The IELTS Writing section (Academic) consists of practice questions. There will be 2 tasks in your writing section. In the 1st Task, a diagram will be given and you will have to write and describe the chart based on what you understood/interpreted from it. The diagram may be a chart, table, and graph. You should be able to read the graph properly and focus on writing what you understand from it with the given data.

IELTS essay builder enhances your grammar and vocabulary to get a high band score for writing. In Task 2 you have to write an essay on a topic assigned by the examiner.

  • IELTS Writing Task 1

In the IELTS writing task 1(academic ), you will be given a graph/diagram/chart and you will have to write a 150-word description about it.

You have to write a summary (concise description) of 150 words related to the graph, table, chart given, or letter following the given situation. This task will test your ability to identify the main features, describe the trends, or compare the data. When it comes to writing letters or describing visual representations, the scores are based on the aspects of coherence, range of vocabulary, grammar, how well you write, etc.

  • IELTS Writing Task 2

In IELTS Writing Task 2(academic), You will be asked to write a formal essay of a minimum of 250 words, in 4-5 paragraphs based on the given writing task 2 essay topics. Students should keep in mind that task 2 holds approximately 66% of the writing task scores, therefore it is very important to prepare well for it.

IELTS Speaking

The IELTS Speaking module(academic) will be the last part of the IELTS examination. The speaking test consists of 3 parts in which you have to make a conversation of around 15 minutes with the examiner.

IELTS Speaking Part 1 is a conversation that will be based on a general theme like your school, family, childhood, friends, and so on. You must frame your sentences the right way while speaking and talk confidently.

In IELTS Speaking Part 2, You will be given a cue card or a task card and then you will have to answer the questions based on it. You will be having 1 minute to prepare for your answer.

In IELTS Speaking Part 3 you will be asked in-depth questions by the examiner related to the topic given in part 2 of the IELTS examination.
