Topic – Politeness
Do you consider yourself polite? If yes, then why?
Yes, I think I am polite enough. It is in my gene to be polite towards others be it animals or humans. And, yes there is no reason to be polite because politeness is what makes me a human being, else I would have been an animal.
Who guided you to be polite?
As I have already mentioned in the previous question that politeness is in my genes. So, it is my family in the very first part who taught me to be polite to others. And, secondly, I would say it is my school and teachers who taught me good manners and gave me the strongest means to live in this world. Further, I would add to it that my inner and real self which aspires for respect now and then has taught me to pay respect and be kind to others as well.
Is it necessary for everyone to be polite? Why?
In my opinion, politeness should be considered as a tool in this monotonous world to gain love, trust, and kindness in a long run. Everyone should possess this virtue of politeness to help their selves along with others. As this basic value of politeness is what allows us to strive for our goal, it should never be taken for granted by anyone. Moreover, being polite and kind to others reflect your personality and social and educational background and gives a good impression to others.
Vocabulary –
Virtue – behavior showing high moral standards
Are good manners dependent on different cultures? Why?
No, I don’t think so that our manners differentiate based on distinct cultures. Whatever the culture is, it always taught everyone to give respect to others. I believe that respect is not something to be only given to somebody older than us but actually to everyone sans considering their age or profession. Politeness remains constant in every culture because all of us are human beings. For instance, in colleges or schools, multiple cultural individuals are present but all of us bow our heads and wish our professors and teachers simultaneously. So, yes, according to me culture doesn’t differentiate good manners among people.
