Topic- Hats Speaking Part 1

Question 1. Which types of hats do you like to wear?

Answer: With respect to hats, I like to wear three different types of hats. Sun hats are helpful in preventing skin from tanning, but I mainly wear cowboy hats and floppy hats for fun. I would like to wear a beret as well, but I would rather not because it does not fit well on my head.

Vocabulary:

tanning – a browning of the skin especially by exposure to sun

Question 2. From where do you buy hats?

Answer: I purchase hats from both physical shops and online retailers. When there is a decent discount offered at any online store or platform, I prefer to purchase from it, but purchasing from a shopping centre is advantageous because I can try on a variety of hats before purchasing them. I prefer to order hats online because there isn't a store close to where I live.

Vocabulary:

decent – conforming with generally accepted standards of respectable or moral behaviour

Question 3. Which one do you like better? Hats/Caps?

Answer: In comparison to hats and caps, I like caps. Although there are many different kinds of hats on the market, I favour wearing caps. Caps are more fashionable than hats, for instance, a flat cap is frequently worn by celebrities. I typically don baseball or flat caps. I look more athletic when wearing a cap.

athletic – physically strong, fit, and active

Question 4. What kind of hats do you have?

Answer: I've got two different hats with me. One is a beanie, which comes in quite handy during the winter. It shields my head and ears from all sides. A cowboy hat is the second hat I own. When I take pictures of myself, I typically don cowboy hats.

Vocabulary:

beanie – a small close-fitting hat worn on the back of the head.

Question 5. Do you like to wear hats?

Answer: I really don't like hats all that much, despite the fact that they are useful for blocking out dust and sunlight from the outside. Hats make hairstyles more untidy than usual. I prefer not to wear hats, despite the fact that some of them are imaginative and amusing to look at.
