Mistakes are the distraught of our life we always wish to travel back and change ”

When we miss an opportunity or we see losing our time because of mistakes we regret making the wrong decisions but when we come to know that we lost an opportunity of a lost lof of our time due to incorrect/incomplete information than our mind floods up with various emotions and our mind loses the barricade of patience. Let me share an incident for the same.

It was a fine sunny day I woke with all my zeal as today was my IELTS exam, I rechecked my admit card for the date and venue, and multiple times I verified to the calendar so that I am not missing anything or there aren’t any chances of missing the examination.

I was at my peak as I had worked hard so many days and now it was the execution time. I got ready, made the last-minute revision, and had a look at all my notes.

I collected all my related documents in my bag, my admit card and other necessary documents, well loaded with ambition and determination to achieve what I desired so long now it was the time when I had the opportunity to exactly prove myself.

So I took a local bus and reached the center for the examination and saw a long queue standing at the gate for getting their documents verified to get the entry. I also became a part of the queue.

I took out all the documents from my backpack and was holding them in my hands for verification, then my turn came and respective staff asked me for my documents and hoping to get it verified and was watching all inside the venue to see where I would be giving the examination for my future.

When to a sudden halt the staff said this is not valid. I saw he was holding my driving license. I got such a huge rush of adrenaline that I couldn’t think of anything else. I asked what happened what’s the matter, my driving license is my identity proof so why isn’t it valid, and as the form mentioned that we needed ID proof.

He said that when mentioned the ID card then it means that you are supposed to be bringing the Passport with which you applied at the registration time. I was baffled because I haven’t accompanied my passport and there were only 50 mins left to the entry.

I remembered reading on a website that any ID proof is valid for the verification of your entry.

I was perplexed and on top of losing my nerve, he asked me to step aside and I felt like an outcast, time was passing away what to be done, my mind was racing faster and my nerves were throbbing so hard this all still looked like an ugly nightmare.

I handled myself and calmed down, there is no problem not having a solution to undo it so I called back at the house to ask that if someone could get me my passport as the next bus was after 30 mins. Luckily my uncle was free at that time he understood the seriousness of the matter and my mom gave him the passport and he reached to me on time and I felt relieved about receiving my passport.

I ran to the queue and waited for my turn eagerly and when my turn came with a 50:50 emotion of fear and hope I gave documents and they the staff member spoke: “yes, verified. All The Best!”.I felt such a relief and waved goodbye to my uncle and went inside and gave my best for the examination.

No matter whatever mistakes we make no matter what conditions we fall in just never lose hope and just be focused on what you want to achieve. From then on I started to read and research deeply about every aspect of examination I ever appeared for and this helped me a lot preventing me to be caught in false/incomplete information. That very incident turned into the lesson part of my life, the fears and that very moment that decides whether this moment will be your golden moment or not was all on me and I didn’t give up hope.

Note: Remember to carry your passport, which you used at the time of registration. Driving licenses and other IDs aren’t valid for verification.
