Weather Speaking Part 1 tests the speaking skills of a candidate. Weather IELTS speaking part 1 talks about a few questions. They are your hometown weather, how many seasons are there, what is your favorite season, what kind of weather you like etc. Students are allowed to speak on these questions. This is an area where the students are judged on their speaking skills.
IELTS Speaking Part 1 consists of an introductory section where candidates are asked questions on personal details, family, friends, and work. In IELTS Speaking candidates need to speak for 4-5 minutes in this section. Candidates' speaking abilities are assessed based on this section considering their grammar and vocabulary in the English language.

Topic: Weather Speaking Part 1
Here are a few weather questions and answers for IELTS for practice:
Question 1: What kind of weather is typical in your hometown?
Answer: I stay in West Bengal where the weather is quite hot throughout the year. The humidity during these months is pretty high. However, the weather turns pleasant at the start of the winter season during November. The winter season stays till February. Hence, it is summer for most of the months in my hometown.

Question 2: How many seasons are there in your place?
Answer: In my place, summer and Winter are the two main seasons. We can feel monsoon for a few days in August and September. The winter comes during December and January but the temperature is not freezing. During summer we experience a very high temperature till the afternoon and then during monsoon, we experience heavy rainfall almost every day. During winter, the cold is bearable and the temperature drops to 12 degrees at the most.
Vocabulary:
Question 3: What is your favorite season?
Answer: I love winter the most though it comes for a short span of time. I like the season since I don’t sweat as much as in summer. Winter does not also provide water-logged streets like they do in the monsoon season. Moreover, I like to wear winter wears like hoodies and sweatshirts. We plan a lot of trips during winter and these trips make me extremely energetic. Also, I love to sleep with a blanket during winter.
Vocabulary:
Question 4: What kind of weather do you like most?
Answer: I love neither extremely hot nor extremely cold weather. A temperature around 25 degrees or less is good for me and I feel much more comfortable in it. I like the cool breeze along with this. However, it needs to mention that I don’t like the extreme cold as well.

Question 5: Do you prefer dry or wet weather?
Answer: I love dry weather. I don’t like humidity as I start feeling very uncomfortable during wet weather. I prefer dry heat or dry cold to humid weather.
