Band 8 IELTS Essay
Nowadays people are very much conscious of their health. So, most people prefer eating a vegetarian diet. This is because consuming non-vegetarian food like meat can be harmful and it is often unhealthy as it can cause a lot of diseases. Moreover, vegetarian food is cheaper and healthier in terms of non-vegetarian food. People who have health problems like diabetes or heart problems can be affected by non-vegetarian food. The amount of fat is extremely low in vegetables as compared to meat. Vegetarianism has become very popular nowadays mainly because the vegetarian diet has is very beneficial for our health.
Some people claim that it is an essential part of the human diet. One of the benefits of eating a vegetarian diet is that it helps to maintain several chronic illnesses such as blood sugar, high blood pressure, etc. as a vegetarian diet is low in fat and high in fiber. Vegetables or plant-based foods contain a wider portion of nutrients needs like vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, and other nutrients required for good health. Health benefits are not only the reason to follow a vegetarian diet.
Another important reason to follow a vegetarian diet is that we can stop cruelty to animals because we can obtain food from plants. But for some people, eating meat can nourish our body more than plant-based food. However, for a balanced diet, a certain portion of meat is necessary as it contains proteins, calcium, and other vitamins. Meat contains protein more than vegetables that improve mental as well as physical health. Its meat is very rich in various vitamins A, B, and C, and minerals. Vegetarian people have to eat some supplements, which contain protein like meat.
But, most of the meats are rich in cholesterol, which is detrimental to the human body and cause diseases. Choosing the wrong types of vegetables may lead to malnutrition. Eating too much meat may be harmful. But we can avoid disease by eating meat at a limit and maintain a balanced diet of vegetables and meat.
In the conclusion, it can be said that vegetarian food is very beneficial and has a positive effect on our health. Vegetarian food can be beneficial in the lower risk of getting a chronic illness. From my point of view, I would say that everyone should turn towards a vegetarian diet.
Band 7 IELTS Essay
Many individuals believe that a healthy lifestyle can be maintained without the need for meat, especially when veganism is rising and becoming more and more popular. I concur that eating a vegetarian diet makes you healthier. However, I would contend that eliminating meat from the diet can have a number of negative effects that are directly related to our health. First off, adopting a vegetarian diet has a lot of indisputable advantages. The diet's ability to reverse various chronic diseases including obesity, cancer, and heart disease is by far its most important advantage. This is mostly due to the fact that plant-based diets consume less cholesterol, which results in reduced blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Vegetarians also have the benefit of being far less prone to gain weight due to the drastically reduced fat content of vegetables compared to meat.
But compared to plant-based diets, meat can better nourish our bodies. First off, meat has a significant quantity of protein whereas veggies are weak in this mineral. Building and repairing tissue as well as maintaining a healthy body—both of which are essential while engaging in physical activity—are the key reasons why a human body requires a balanced intake of protein. Second, meat is highly rich in many vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, B, and D, so it not only improves mental health but also physical health. These vitamins have been shown to be crucial in supporting healthy eyesight, healthier teeth, and a robust bone structure.
Finally, it is undeniable that adopting a vegetarian diet has a number of advantages, including a decreased risk of developing chronic illnesses. But in order to maintain healthy diets, I think meat is very necessary.
Band 6.5 IELTS Essay
Over the years, there has been much debate on whether or not to become a vegetarian. It is seen by many as a great strategy to prevent serious medical conditions. The counterintuitive advantages of not being a vegetarian will be explained in this essay.
The first and most important reason in favour of eating meat is that it is a great source of nutrients including calcium, protein, and fibre, all of which are crucial for maintaining energy levels throughout the day. Furthermore, certain experts, such as athletes, highly advise against following a vegetarian diet. Geeta Phogat, a recent Indian wrestler, who had to start eating chicken in order to build up adequate endurance for wrestling, serves as a good illustration of how this might be described.
Additionally, consuming meat strengthens one's immune system. For instance, meat eaters can survive in severe cold or hot conditions because of their strong physical resilience; as a result, they are less likely to contract common illnesses like the common cold and high fever. In one study conducted at the "Appolo" hospital in India, it was discovered that 65% of the patients who had been afflicted with such ailments preferred to eat vegetarianism. Therefore, it should go without saying that eating non-vegetarian cuisine can benefit your health.
To sum up, this article has shown that a non-vegetarian diet offers a very real chance of increasing one's physical stamina and capacity to fend against common illnesses. It is likely that more individuals will begin eating a non-vegetarian diet in the near future when these health benefits are taken into account.
