Gender Exclusiveness IELTS Writing Task 2

It cannot be called a lie that men and women are built differently from each other. Their physique is different; their nutritional requirements are slightly different some of the diseases are also different. Women need more amount of Iron and Folic Acid in their bodies as compared to men. Women are more prone to diseases like Anemia, and diseases related to menstruation. Men on the other hand are more prone to heart attacks, their lifespan is relatively lower than that of women, and they cannot feed a baby as they don’t have lactation glands. But with time, a few stereotypes are being broken. Excluding the physical barriers, both men and women have shown equal progress in the field involving mental efforts. Even in the army, the Supreme Court of India has recently decided to give them a permanent commission. Doctors, Engineers, Politicians, and several other professions are seeing an increase in women professionals. Jobs and professions are a dynamic concept which keeps varying according to time and needs. So, no thought of school will exist for eternity. It will keep changing according to the requirement of society. However, in current times, we can easily say that it is wrong to bar women from certain positions just because of gender bias. However, if we are including them in a job role, we must ensure that their safety, health, and personal concerns are not compromised.

On one hand, while it is important for a society and the governmental laws to ensure that any person could choose any kind of job. Freedom to choosing one’s own profession is important to eradicate the ideas of gender based or gender focused jobs. Any person would need to go through the same screening process and interviews and exams despite their gender and this would enable a fair play in the professional field. 

On the other hand, one of the most important aspects is not just what government does or induces laws but how as a society people are able to grow. It is important that people within different types of workplaces promote the particpation and engagement of women whether it is a corporate job role for a CEO or in case of working as a factory worker. What is motivational for any society and workplace is how it is able to promote diversity within a workplace and empower women by providing the meritorious ones the opportunity to work within an organisation. Workplaces encouraging the engagement of women inspires and motivates them to engage with the teams and speak against unacceptable behaviours. Hence, excluding men and women from certain kinds of jobs is absolutely an act of condemnation.

It is important to note that there are certain traits which are common for men and which are common among women. For instance, men are generally more aggressive and passionate while women tend to be more empathetic and having high emotional intelligence. However, these traits are not exclusive them. Women might be agressive and passionate and men might be empathetic and emotionally intelligent. The important requirement is that both develop and enhance the successiveness of an enterprise and abide by the professional work ethics. Having a team and workplace environment where diversity is encouraged and inclusivity is endured, a workplace environment automatically becomes efficient enough to succeed. It results in greater collaboration, higher levels of communication and much effective execution of plans. Hence, the intermixing of different genders implies that a workplace is diversified enough to succeed in the market.
