Paragraph- 1 Introduction

Paragraph one is often viewed as the introductory paragraph where an introduction regarding the topic is given. The candidate should cover the basic information about the topic in their essay so that the reader can get a precise understanding of the topic. Generally, you can begin the first paragraph by paraphrasing the question asked by the examiner, but by enriching the vocabulary of the question rather than just copying it. After briefing about the topic, one should then begin with certain lines which would make it clear that what are you going to discuss in yours. For Example- firstly, this essay highlights or discusses…….. secondly……..

Paragraph 2- The Main Body

The second paragraph is considered to be the main body of the essay. In this paragraph, the candidates need to answer the question asked and should only present one central idea or the main idea. The candidate should just mention the central idea and should explain with the help of an example. Citing an example can make an essay more appealing and interesting. The example which a candidate wishes to mention in his or her essay should be based on one’s experience and should be an authentic one. Your example can cast a different impression on the minds of the examiners. This is how the paragraph should be presented-

  1. Provide an introduction to the first question asked by the examiner.
  2. After that provide a detailed explanation
  3. Lastly, present an example for a better understanding.

Paragraph 3- Main Body Paragraph 2

Paragraph 3 is also considered to be another paragraph of the main body. In this paragraph, the candidate needs to answer the second question asked by the examiner. In this paragraph also the candidate should present one central idea to the question asked by the examiner. Like the second paragraph in this paragraph also the candidate needs to introduce the topic, provide an explanation and elaborate the explanation by presenting an example.

This is how the paragraph should be presented-

  1. Provide an introduction to the second question asked
  2. Then give a precise explanation
  3. Elaborate the explanation by presenting an example.

Paragraph 4- Conclusion

This paragraph is considered to be the final paragraph or the concluding paragraph. In this paragraph, the candidate needs to present the main points in summarized form and simultaneously present a solution or suggestion to the question asked. This paragraph is mainly considered as a concluding paragraph so; no new information should be entertained into this paragraph. The candidate should wisely conclude the essay by providing a reasonable ending to the essay.

An important point to take into consideration is that the examiner can ask more than two questions. Therefore the candidate should answer each question separately in single different paragraphs, but following the same pattern of introduction, explanation and example.

Thus, by following the above-mentioned tips and procedures one can accurately and precisely form an essay keeping in mind what the examiner wishes to see in the essay.
