Band 8 IELTS Essay

The travel industry has undergone significant changes over the past few years. People are increasingly seeking adventure and excitement on their holidays. Traditional vacation experiences are no longer enough to satisfy the desires of modern travelers. The unique and challenging activities allow them to step out of their comfort zones. I agree with the statement that unusual activites on holidays are a trend.

There are many reasons for this shift in preferences. With the rise of social media and other digital platforms, travelers are exposed to a wider range of travel experiences and are inspired to try new things. Moreover, people are becoming more health-conscious and are looking for vacations that offer opportunities to stay active and engage in physical activities. Another factor contributing to this trend is the growing awareness of environmental and social issues. Travelers are becoming more conscious of their impact on the environment and local communities, and are therefore seeking out sustainable travel options. This will allow them to support local economies and reduce their carbon footprint on places unheard of. Activities such as ecotourism, voluntarism, and responsible wildlife tourism have become increasingly popular as a result.

However, it is important to note that not everyone is seeking adventure and excitement on their holidays. Many travelers still prefer a more relaxing vacation experience, such as lounging on a beach or exploring a new city at a leisurely pace.

In conclusion, while it is true that there is a growing trend towards adventure and excitement in the travel industry, it is not a one-size-fits-all approach. The modern traveler seeks a range of experiences that fits their individual interests and preferences. Therefore, the travel industry must continue to evolve and offer a diverse range of vacation options to satisfy the changing demands of travelers.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Holidays serve as a crucial break from the monotony of our regular routines and work lives. Traditionally, vacations were viewed as a chance to unwind and explore new cultures and terrains overseas. However, with the evolution of modern work environments, people are seeking adventure on their holidays.

For some, adventure holidays are more stimulating than a trip to the beach or museums. These vacations has a very basic accommodation and activities such as bushwalking, cycling, mountain climbing, paragliding, and water sports. Such holidays have become increasingly popular among people of all ages and can contribute to rural tourism.

The attracting ability of these activities lies in their ability to bring people closer to nature. As animals, humans have an inherent inclination towards nature. The modern concrete jungle has lost its appeal compared to the beauty of the natural world.

In conclusion, people are becoming more aware of the damaging effects of mass tourism, leading to a change in the nature of holidays. This shift towards active and nature-based vacations can only be a positive trend. While some still prefer lounging on a beach, more individuals are discovering the refreshing experience of an adventure holiday. Ultimately, the choice depends on personal preference.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Young adults are often unable to take a break from their demanding jobs, making holiday breaks seem like dreams. However, according to travel agencies, the way people spend their holidays has changed drastically over the years. Instead of visiting tourist attractions located miles away, people now prefer to experience novel activities closer to home. I strongly agree with this statement, as such activities can provide a better experience for individuals.

One of the reasons why taking part in uncommon activities has become increasingly popular is that young adults crave new experiences during their short breaks. These activities can refresh their minds and reduce stress levels without costing a fortune. An example of this is glamping, which has become popular in many countries. This luxurious camping experience is budget-friendly and commonly takes place on the outskirts of megacities, making it easy for people to commute. Another reason why people prefer to engage in novel activities is to experience excitement by doing extreme sports. For example, in Jakarta, many people opt for rafting in a place called Puncak during their holidays. Challenging sports have become a preferred choice for people instead of traveling abroad.

To conclude, new and challenging activities are becoming more popular as a way to relax and unwind during the holidays. These unfamiliar and stimulating experiences are leading to a shift in the conventional means of holidays.
