The graph above shows the number of burglaries done in 4 countries from 2000-2009. The countries are Great Britain, Spain, Norway and Greece.
From the graph, we can see that Great Britain has the highest number of burglaries throughout the decade. The second is Greece. Norway and Spain have almost similar numbers of burglaries throughout the years. Great Britain started high and ended on a high note too. In the year 2000 and 2001, the number was constant at 16000. In 2002, the number directly rose to 20,000. Then it again dropped gradually to 15,000 in 2004. After 2004, we can again see a steady rise till 2006 to 20,000. In 2007, it again dropped to 16000 and for the next two years, the number of burglaries stood at 15,000. The next is Greece. It started around 8000 and remained constant for the next three years. In 2004, the number slightly rose to 9000 burglaries and then in 206, it rose to 12,000 burglaries. Again the graph remained constant till 2008 and ended with 13000 burglaries in 2009. Spain and norways show similar graphs except once when the numbers in Spain increased to 8000 twice in 2001 and 2005. The graph for Norway started at 7000 burglaries and decreased to 5000 from 2003 to 2007. It ended with 6000 burglaries in 2009. Spain had an up and down curve but it continuously decreased after 2005. From 8000, it gradually fell to 4000 burglaries in 2009.

When compared to the other countries, Great Britain had the highest overall rate of burglary from 2000 to 2009. On the other hand, Spain had the lowest rate when the study began in 2000. It is evident that Spain reported slightly lower numbers in 2009 than the other four nations.
Though the trend changes over the decade, the graph shows that the number of burglaries in Great Britain was consistently high. It never falls below 20,000. The country experienced the most thefts in 2002 (20,000) and 2006 (20,000), according to the data. However, it saw its lowest theft total of approximately 15,000 in 2009.
Similar trends were observed in Spain. However, it was on the opposite end of the spectrum. It reported the lowest number of burglaries (6,000) in 2000 before reporting a decline in frequency in 2009 (4,000). However, other important data include the rising number of burglaries in Greece, which peaked at 14,000 in 2009 after beginning at 8,000 in 2000. In addition, Norway stands out because it experienced a sharp decline in thefts over the course of ten years, peaking at 6,000, slightly higher than Spain.

It is notable that the rate of burglaries in Greece has increased since 2005, whereas it was lower in Great Britain than in any other nation. In 2006, there were 20,000 burglaries in Great Britain, while the rate ranged from 5 to 12 per thousand in Greece, Spain, and Norway, as shown in the graph. In Great Britain, there were 20,000 vehicle burglaries in 2002, a steady decline to 15,000 in 2004, and then 20,000 in 2006. Finally, the rate had dropped once more to 15,000 in 2008. In Spain, vehicle burglaries had significantly decreased between 2005 and 2009 (from 14 to 4 per thousand). In contrast, the number of vehicle burglaries increased from 9 to 13 per thousand in 2005 and 2009, respectively. From 2003 to 2007, Norway had a steady rate of 5,000 vehicle burglaries; However, the rate rose to 6,000 in 2007.
