Topic: In order to solve traffic problems, governments should tax private car owners heavily and use the money to improve public transportation.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

These days, one of the major issues in all major cities is traffic. The production of automobiles by automakers has greatly expanded, which has contributed to traffic issues, and it appears that this trend will never end. And this race of manufacture has no end. As a result, some believe that this situation warrants an immediate response and is quite worrying. Therefore, we should consider preventive measures that can end the critical condition that is currently present on the roads. As well as some better strategies to improve them. Some believe that the major nations ought to put a plan in place for how they can recover from a crisis like this.

Therefore, it must be carefully prepared in terms of standardizing laws in Asia and several other larger continents. Such as allowing private car owners to pay taxes based on the range of cars on an annual basis. If they could prevent the usage of outdated cars on the roads, perhaps another alternative might be helpful. We must pay a set sum for each car each year in order to make this. This will be a positive turnaround for several metal producing industries. No matter what range or kind of material this car is composed of, the requisite prices are high. The government can then use the funds raised to improve the standard of public transportation and manage roads and traffic. The biggest drawback in this scenario is that in order to lower the overall number of old automobiles, one must purchase new ones, which is expensive. And a reduction in the quality of the raw materials used to construct the car's body will result in greater damage in traffic accidents. Particularly several large nations, including Russia, Brazil, the US, China, Canada, and Australia. Will struggle without transportation operations spanning lengthy distances. In conclusion, I think it's possible that specially created little automobiles will be employed. Which will be affordable, pleasant, which can be used to limit the production of hazardous gasses but also make the traffic more interesting.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

The idea is that to solve the traffic problems, the government should tax the private cars all around the city in each and every country and use the taxed amount for the improvement of the public transformation. But this solution had its own negative sides and positive sides which we will dive deep in this answer. It is almost undeniable that with the high tax rate, the number of car owners will gradually decrease and traffic congestion problems will slowly decline.

As a result, people could commute faster, work more effectively and efficiently and air pollution would be reduced drastically. For example, the government could replace all the old subway trains and buses with the new ones which consume fuel efficiently and are more comfortable for the passengers. Consequently, the budget for public transportation fuel could be reduced and public transportation users would feel comfortable in using the facilities provided by the government in a useful way. On the other hand, taxing the private car owners heavily has some negative sides for the individuals and society. Firstly, many people live in areas that are not covered by public transportation that is provided by the government, such as those who live in rural areas or the countryside. Should there be any public buses or trains that pass through those areas, the schedule might be only once or twice a day. These people must maintain some private cars and if the tax for the motorized vehicles is raised significantly then it would become a big burden and problem for the innocent people living in remote areas. Secondly, it is a fact that the automotive industry has absorbed so many employees. As the demand for motor vehicles decreases due to the high tax rate, many automobile companies would drastically reduce their employment number. As a consequence, the country's unemployment rate would be high and affect the employment status of all the individuals. As a concluding point, I would say that every problem has a solution and that solution will have the cons and pros. The advantage of the solution is that the people could travel faster and the air pollution would be reduced at that immediate point.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

These days most congested traffic in the top developing nations has caused a lot of environmental issues such as air pollution and sound pollution and governments have taken different strategies to tackle this problem. Undeniably an increasing tax on private car owners and investing more in public transport systems are one the most considerable ways which the government has performed in most of the countries to control the traffic but it is essential to investigate both of negative and positive aspects of the above-mentioned policies and apply some other solutions to reduce the amount of traffic on the entire world.

However, people will not use their own cars most of the time when they must pay more taxes or insurance money to the government and it can influence the number of traffic in each of the residential areas, in some occasions, this directly affects the economy of a country in many ways. In other words, if the tax on private cars is increased, prices of other important goods would be raised and it puts people under pressure and affects financial stability. On the other hand, policies should allow people to have a better life while adding costs for using a private car stand against some human rights. Also, some governments have tried to improve the transport system by developing many different ways and increasing the numbers of buses and trains which are appreciated and has had a deep effect on traffic issues, especially in top megacities. While this strategy is a very good solution, perhaps allocating some part of the transport system budget to develop freeways would be a fundamental solution as people can use their own cars without making traffic in busy places. Hence I think that not only should the government limit societies to the use of private cars as a good and approachable solution. These fumes produced by extensive use of vehicles are very harmful to small children and cause many breathing problems.
