Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

Whether money should be spent on public transportation or on other, more vital matters is a subject of debate among people. Faster public transportation might be a good thing, however, I'd suggest that other objectives should be funded first before increasing spending on them.

On the one hand, it may be claimed that giving people access to quicker public transportation has had certain advantages. Firstly, it's said that commuters can cut down on the amount of time they spend getting to and from work by using speedier modes of transportation. People will have more free time as a result, which will boost their productivity at work. Second, by using this strategy, it will be less likely that people will be crammed into stuffy, hot buses. They will have more time to prepare before leaving for work or school. As well as more time to eat breakfast as they won't need to hustle to get to work on time or wake up so early to get a seat on a bus. But I think it's more necessary to spend money on other important things. The contamination of the environment is one of the most urgent issues. Even though public transportation makes commuting more convenient, each year there are more and more vehicles on the road. And the pollution they generate has a negative impact on the air quality in most major cities. People are therefore more prone to getting respiratory illnesses and other health issues. Another important problem is the rising cost of living, which makes it difficult for many individuals to meet their basic demands. Untreated situations like these could result in a decline in economic growth, among other issues. In conclusion, I am certain that it is better to spend money on more critical issues. Such as the environment and living costs, notwithstanding the benefits of increasing the speed of public transportation.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

There are contrasting opinions on whether the government should allocate funds for public transportation. Or for other pressing problems like the expense of social welfare and environmental protection. The two sides of the debate will be covered in this article, and then I will offer my opinion.

People who believe that the government ought to make investments in public transportation may make the following case. It is indisputable that traffic congestion, which wastes a lot of our time, is contributing to the fact that we commute for longer and longer periods of time. For instance, if we spend one or two hours on the bus or subway, we will have less time to dedicate ourselves to work, which would reduce productivity. The long-term effects of the traffic situation's deterioration will hamper economic growth. Additionally, it is bad for people's health. For instance, many people are hesitant to go outside and socialise with their friends. Because they find it difficult to accept that they must travel for an extended period of time. As a result, they miss out on the chance to interact with others and engage in outdoor activities which is hazardous to their mental and physical health. However, people who believe that governments should address additional social and environmental issues can also provide evidence for their views. For starters, it is frequently observed that government budgets are tight due to the strain brought on by the growing population. For instance, people would complain to the government about not receiving enough healthcare services. It will fuel their discontent and threaten social stability if the government does not invest more money in social issues, such as healthcare. Another reason is that some problems, like climate change, are threatening people's lives. And only the government can afford to spend the money necessary to tackle them. In conclusion, resolving these difficulties could have beneficial side effects. It is necessary to invest equally in traffic and other emergent issues including social costs and environmental challenges.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

It is a contentious question whether governments should prioritise purchasing speedier public transportation. Or should they prioritise spending revenue on other sectors such as living costs and the environment. The expense of living and the environment, in my opinion, are just as important as public transportation.

Therefore governments must strike a balance between the two. First and foremost, public transportation must be quick since people want to travel in comfort and convenience to their destinations. This is due to the public's dislike of lengthy wait times. As a result, people seek fast cars, buses, and other motorised vehicles, to name a few. The public's ability to perform their jobs is hampered if transportation takes a long time to reach its destination. For instance, 95% of all conveyance in Bangladesh is slow. During rush hour, it causes problems. As a result, officers get paid less when they arrive at their offices late or when several students are absent during the first hour of class. Authorities must therefore set aside certain tax dollars to invest in purchasing faster modes of transportation. On the other hand, since individuals are also having trouble paying for living expenses, governments must invest a sizable sum of money. Additionally, most people are not eco-friendly. The country's bureaucrats should deal with these two problems. In the USA, the government's separation of money, which accounts for at least 49% of GDP, is the most important measure it has taken to combat this threat. It enables the average person to live more affordably. Because of the government's investment in research teams that significantly lessen the pollution, the populace of this nation is living longer and healthy lives. In conclusion, despite the misconception that the issue may be resolved by simply spending more money on speedier transportation. The government should also invest money in addressing other issues including the expense of living and the dirty environment. According to me, spending money on the living and environment should be comparable to spending money on bringing faster cars home.
