Government Should Give Priority To Health Care IELTS Writing Task 2

At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, our athletes brought honor to our country. However, we can do better if the government invests more in sports education for students beginning in elementary school. A lot of children drop sports by college only because they don’t believe the government would provide the right support to pursue it as a career. It is absolutely necessary to bring about a change in the education sector so that students don’t stick to traditional careers like banking or engineering.

Because of insufficient infrastructure, many children in rural regions miss out on their entitlement to education. They do not have the financial resources to travel to good schools due to bad roads and poor construction. The government should set aside sufficient funds to improve our infrastructure, resulting in more students receiving higher-quality education.

It is important to note that our health care has not been able to put up with the changes in recent times. Spending appropriate funds on healthcare is vital for all age groups. It is the need of the hour to get better facilities set up in rural areas. With better hospitals and better care, it improves the quality of life which leads to a healthier and happier society. Government hospitals need to provide health care at affordable prices for medical support to be available to people from all walks of life. It is necessary to have easy access to facilities for people who have financial constraints.

I would lean towards a better education with more concentration on sports and also the impeccable infrastructure that would help rural people prioritize education which is the need of the hour.

Everybody prefers to live a full life. This has caused us to make poor choices like consuming drugs, alcohol, tobacco or for that matter- junk food. Life runs at a fast phase with our jobs consuming a major part of it. This has got our health to deteriorate over time. The youth of today have unfortunate health complications like diabetes or blood pressure at a very young age. It has further caused damage to our mental health as well.

To take control of this faltering situation, it is necessary for the government to prioritize the health care sector. It is the governing body’s responsibility to provide free healthcare facilities to the people who can't afford it. It is necessary to spread awareness through social media platforms to discuss mental health. The taxes that we as citizens pay should be put to use. Hospitals should be constructed at every corner of our country. It needs to be accessible to the general public. More medical students should be encouraged to join government hospitals in order to provide appropriate care to the ones who can't afford health care because of financial constraints.

Over time with better health care, the population would become healthier and happier. The current situation in our country calls for a reformed and well-established medical system in place which would benefit scores of people. It is especially necessary to bring about awareness in terms of physical and mental health in rural areas.

To conclude, I agree that the government should budget more towards health care. This ensures to keep our society from falling apart and gives access to healthcare to millions of people. Better and affordable healthcare can save scores of lives.

On the one hand, opponents of the notion claim that spending on public health and general education by the government is a waste of taxpayer money with no major payoffs. They argue that because the costs of these infrastructures are paid for out of the public coffers, the money may be utilized for other reasons. Investing in the tourist sector, for example, can result in the creation of jobs and therefore a reduction in unemployment rates.

Those who support the government's role in providing these services, on the other hand, think that some individuals lack the financial means to meet these needs. For example, if the government does not fund elementary education, many low-income families would be unable to educate their children, leading to a rise in the country's illiteracy rate. Furthermore, because the majority of public schools are funded, this will be very beneficial.

Our present circumstances because of the pandemic called for better healthcare. Because of a failing system in place, millions have lost their lives to this deadly virus. It is the need of the hour. With medical facilities in shambles, it only goes to emphasize that the government needs to budget more towards better health facilities. It is vital that our country’s politicians rally towards better and cheaper healthcare for people coming from all walks of life. To emerge and survive this year, the government needs to take swift action by using the funds at its disposal wisely. We are in dire need of good and affordable medical facilities.

Having taken into account both sides, I have weighed in and believe that the government must, most definitely prioritize health. It is without a doubt the only way to move forward towards a world with equal healthcare facilities in underdeveloped countries.
