Topic: Many people assume that the goal of every country should be to produce more materials and goods. To what extent do you agree or disagree that constantly increasing production is an appropriate goal?

Model Answer 1:

The expansion of trade between countries has resulted in an increased amount of import and export of goods and services. The concept of globalization has opened the doors of massive manufacturing and production activities for various nations all over the world. Companies are looking for ways to increase their production due to the increased number of demands all over the world for the products. But this increment comes with conscious thought regarding costs and raw material. To improve the economy of the nation, countries have individually shifted their focus on developing products from the materials available to them in their home country or the materials that they can buy at cheaper rates. This race for massive production for increasing the economy and growth of the nation has led to a compromise in the quality of the products being delivered. To cut down factors like costs of labor and machinery, the nation is stepping towards the concept of automation. This has led to a gigantic decrease in manpower requirement, thus increasing unemployment. With only profit and higher production rate in mind, every country is ready to alter environmental and earthly possessions.

Intending to produce more materials and goods, nations are becoming careless about replenishing levels of natural raw materials. With more production, newer industries and factories are being set up. This is in turn, degrading the environment by increasing activities like mining, smoke production, increased heating, and wrong methods of waste disposal. On one hand, the economic growth of the nation is speculated to increase by the increased rates of materials and goods production, but on the other hand, this is costing a nation a lot of valuable things like the environment. It is, therefore, very important that the governments of the nation must fix a certain rate and method for increasing the production and manufacturing activities that will not degrade the environment and will also help to boost the economic status of a nation.

Model Answer 2:

The concept of globalization has persuaded every nation to be a part of the race to excellence. The goal of every nation has become to increase the economic growth rate of the nation by increasing the number of production and manufacturing activities. With the manufacturing of goods and materials as the only goal, many countries do not specifically pay much attention to the quality of the product being manufactured. To be recognized and to survive in the race of excellence, every nation has increased its developmental activities in the form of exporting commodities. This competition between nations for producing materials and goods has resulted in various positive impacts. Nations have focused on innovative concepts for production and manufacturing by keeping in mind the environmental aspects. With the increase in production of materials and goods, the standard of living of people all over will be better as more and more commodities will be available to them.

Many business opportunities have been developed due to a nation’s focus on being better at the production of materials and goods. Many innovative start-ups and industries are being set up for the action of production. With increasing activities, the requirement of labor on grounds has increased. Also with the introduction of machinery into production, the demands for high technology equipment have increased which in turn will require materials to be manufactured. But the focus of the nations to increase the production of materials and goods has also resulted in unfair activities like displacing poor residences to construct factories or clear lands for mining or other activities. This increased demand for goods and materials will also hamper the personal lives of the people involved as long hours of work and functioning will disturb the work-life balance. Therefore it becomes very important for a nation to excel economically but not at the cost of societal and environmental devastation.

Model Answer 3:

Globalization is not just restricted to the exchange of goods and commodities. It is the exchange of culture and innovative ideas. While some people stress the fact that the ultimate goal of every nation must be to produce the maximum number of materials and goods, others give it a skeptical eye. The production of materials and goods must not only be restricted to the idea of economic or financial developments of a nation. The aim of every nation must be to produce goods for the betterment of society as a whole. The production and business activities require the interaction and settlement between masses. It also involves the exchange of ideas and innovations. These innovations are not only restricted to the product they make or the service they provide, but to the methods of production and sales. People from varied backgrounds and cultures share thoughts on environmental and comfort factors associated with society. The introduction of foreign goods in the market will lead to better exposure of goods and varieties to the consumers. This will in turn increase the competition in the market and more production will take place by keeping in mind to produce better than the previously existing products.

By producing the maximum materials and goods, nations are also taking advantage of the raw materials existing in their lands. This has resulted in the reduction of costs required to import the raw materials. By producing traditional goods and materials, nations can increase the popularity and awareness of traditional and heritage products. This will attract tourists and will result in the economic growth of the nation. but it is very essential to keep the culture and the environment in mind while expanding our boundaries and welcoming business opportunities. It is understood that with the growing population, the demand for newer goods and materials is increasing but the government needs to ensure that this gets done in a justified manner so that the nation can benefit economically and develop in all domains.
