Question 1. When was the last time you went to a forest?
Answer: Three years ago I went to Jakanari forest with my friends. It is a reserve forest in the north of Coimbatore. I am a very adventurous person and I love to do activities like hiking, mountain climbing, and camping. Fortunately, I share the same interests as my friends. So whenever we get a long weekend we instantly plan a trip. Three years ago when the world was free from this pandemic we suddenly decided to visit this forest which is in the foothills of the Jakanari mountain of Nilgris. I was really thrilled before the trip as I have heard a lot of amazing things about this forest. My friend’s father works as a forest officer there so this was also a major reason that we chose this forest to explore. When we reached there I was just amazed. As we entered the forest the sky almost just disappeared, a cover of darkness emerged in front of my eyes. I don’t remember the name of the dominant tree species of that forest, I only remember trees of bamboo species. The air of the forest had moisture and a weird smell to it. All we could hear was the insect, birds, and animal sounds. It was scary but fun at the same time. The most irritating and uncomfortable thing was mosquitoes. This was the first time in my entire life that I saw some strange insects and birds. I was just mesmerized by the creation of god.

Question 2. Do you like to go to a forest if you are free?
Answer: Yes. I really like it. But that is not on the top of my list. I mean I really like to go into the deep dark forest to explore the indescribable beauty of nature. But at the same time if given a choice I would rather go hiking or camping. If I would want to go to a forest I would have to travel a long distance which I don’t really want to do. I wanted to have an experience of exploring the forest which fortunately I got. But in my free time, I like to go hiking or trekking to feel refreshed. This is a really good form of exercise also.
