For Some People Making A Lot Of Money Is An Important Goal IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. It focuses on the consideration of money as an important goal. Money has always been the deciding factor and the need of the hour. Money can be associated with a lot of emotions like happiness, sadness etc. There are always two types of people. Some think that making money is the most important goal in life and some others think that free time is more important than making money. I think that spending free time can bring a peace of mind which money cannot. In today’s world where mental peace and stability is important. So, money should be considered a goal but it should not disturb the mental health of a person. While free time is important to better understand one’s own potential and abilities.
Money will definitely bring happiness after a certain time but the brief and momentary happiness cannot be provided by money. It is the free mind and freedom to spend the time as a person likes, that brings the utmost joy. Spending the free time might require money but that is always limited. In today’s world, just sparing a little free time for yourself can be very strenuous. Simply utilizing a small amount of free time to socialize or focus on one’s interest can bring happiness in a way that money never can. Someone might earn a lot of money by doing a lot of work. That person must be longing for a free time to spend or a holiday to spend. Earning a lot of money can give respect. However, earning love and support from friends and family is something that money cannot buy. One can spend time with friends, get to know a person, go on short holidays if they have free time. This cannot happen if someone only focuses on earning a lot of money.To conclude, Money is an important goal of life but free time is more important. One must not get drained focusing only on money.

Many people are of the opinion that money is an important goal of life. While others bel;ieve that free time is as important as money. The center of wealth and attraction has been money since the beginning of time. Money plays a very important role in building a fortune. There have been debates if money is more important or free time. This is always dependent on one’s demand and view towards life. While some people urge for more money, some are happy with less money but more time for themselves. I have believed in the fact that money can bring happiness and friends and family together. If a person has less money, he/ she hesitates to be social.
Meeting with friends, family, going out for a vacation, having an outdoor lunch takes money. In each and every step of one’s life, money is involved. Someone needs to earn money to spend on good food, lodging, clothes and also helping others. If anyone does not have a lot of money, living a good lifestyle will also not be an option. Everyone gets free time on weekends and off days from work. However, if money is not available, we will not be able to enjoy the good times with friends and family. For example, if you are invited to a wedding or any occasion, you need to dress well and take some gifts, which requires money. If someone is planning to go on a trip, that person requires money to spend on the trip. I can understand that having free time is important but having money to spend during that free time is much more important. The free time will affect a person mentally if they do not have any money to spend and enjoy the time. Hence, I think earning a lot of money can give happiness rather than having less money.

Love, Kindness, and support are some of the factors that get the most joy in someone’s life. These are abstract things which money can never buy. Money can bring great opportunities that might bring pleasure. It cannot bring your loved ones closer. Having your loved ones with you to celebrate can elevate your spirit to utter joyfulness. Money is necessary because it enables you to have control over your life, liberty to carve out your path, and less refraining on your choices. Having money makes you endeavor to live life to the fullest, enjoy adventures and textures and tastes, and make the most of the life that you’ve got. Humans are hardwired to want more, but they are not a machine. They, too, want some time to themselves to recover the mind and body.
NGOs are an excellent example of this, where people make time from their busy schedules to spend some time doing what they love. On the other hand, a human requires basic amenities like food, shelter, and clothes. The basic amenities can be obtained with lesser money also. Having free time in life is very important. Humans get frustrated very easily with work pressure. In such situations, money will not come in handy. Only free time for one’s self will help to reduce the frustration. People can spend time with themselves and have an opportunity to relax. Money cannot be relaxed. It brings more tension and strain in real life. Earning money is important. The more money you earn, you need to keep in mind that more time will be invested in the work. This will result in less or no free time. Hence, one should learn to balance between money and free time as both are important to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
