This essay will explore the reasons why young people are hesitant to pursue teaching as a career. This essay will also offer some suggestions on how to change this outlook.
Many people still view teaching as a profession that they are passionate about, but the bulk of young people stay away from it for good reason. The pay between a teacher and a doctor, engineer, or other professional is extremely different. More perks are offered to other professions, including free food, healthcare, and life insurance. Better salaries would make it easier for them to manage their expenses, but instructors receive very little gain in comparison.
