Topic: All fathers should be entitled to time-off from work when their children are born. What is your opinion?

Model Answer 1:

Many employers now enable fathers to take a few days or weeks off after their child is born. This, in my opinion, is an important concept. In the paragraphs that follow, I'll explain why I believe this.

In the days leading up to and immediately following the birth of their child, the father, like the mother, may feel a lot of worry and tension. They will be able to cope with this scenario owing to paternity leave. If the husband is working at the office while his wife is giving birth, he will be under a lot of stress. As a result, he will be less focused on his work which will in turn lower the quality of his work. Another source of stress for him is his inability to help his wife during the birth of their child. As a result, several countries now allow fathers to take time off work following the birth of their child. This short leave entitlement will not only allow fathers to be with their spouses during the delivery, but it will also allow them to maintain a work-life balance, ensuring that the quality of their work is not harmed.

The second rationale for providing paternity leave is that it allows spouses to assist their wives with child care. Childbirth can be brutally painful for the mother, and she will require assistance in the days following the delivery. If a woman's husband is near her and her baby in the days following delivery, he can be a huge assistance.

After thoughtful consideration, it has been determined that all fathers should be entitled to paternity leave. This will not only make childbirth less stressful for them, but it will also allow them to provide vital support to their partners during this key time in their lives.

Model Answer 2:

Employee relations have spawned seismic changes in policy and practises by human resource departments around the world over the decades. Along with the changing needs of modern society, recent sociological discoveries have shed light on the need for male employees to take paternity leaves. I strongly agree with this viewpoint. The benefits of allowing fathers to take time off will be explored in this article through various instances.

To begin with, high employee productivity is instinctively recognised as critical to any famous organization's success. Both mother and father must manage obligations in the early stages, and an employee's performance at work will suffer if he is stressed or burdened. As a result, the company would have to deal with lower quality work, distracted or irritated employees, and possibly financial losses. In an interview held by the human solution organisation, the majority of employees admitted that when working during the maternity period, they made accidental mistakes that had substantial implications. In this view, it is reasonable to conclude that paternity leaves benefit both the employee and the firm.

Meanwhile, family time is an important consideration that should not be overlooked. Both the mother and the infant require time to recuperate and return to normal life after the birth of a child. Paternity leaves, in reality, allow fathers to spend valuable time with their families. According to current empirical research conducted by the School of Psychology Australia, postpartum depression is a severe and life-threatening disease that affects 4 out of 10 mothers each year. The only way to cure it is to assist fathers who are eligible to paternity leave during that time. In keeping with this line of thought, it is widely agreed that paternity leaves should be mandated in order to support mothers and create a more functional society.

To summarise, there is sufficient evidence that paternity leaves have benefits for the employee, the business, the family, and society as a whole. Such measures are expected to help create a stress-free work environment, happy families, and a peaceful society in the near future.

Model Answer 3:

When a new kid is born, it is becoming more typical for fathers to be offered paternity leave. Despite its economic implications, I believe this is a progressive reform that should be supported.

Critics claim that the overall ramifications are harmful to the economy. Maternity leave is usually factored into a company's annual budget. Many firms would struggle to attain the same profitability if fathers took similar amounts of time off. Because most businesses, large and small, are hesitant to forego revenue for the sake of their employees, the most likely outcome would be a compensating salary cut. This would mean less money for consumers and parents who need to supplement their income to provide for their children. Governments may be able to regulate this to some extent, but corporations are primarily concerned with their bottom line.

Nonetheless, this shift reflects a favourable shift in gender equality perceptions. Males and females used to be separated by a more institutionalised, historically rooted hierarchy. The shift toward progressively equal treatment in the last century has mostly impacted women, but it must be done fairly to avoid men's animosity. Paternity leave is one technique to show that gender equality applies to both genders. Because males do not require physical recovery, this paid leave should be shorter but still significant. Governments may readily propose and enact legislation to ensure that fathers' rights are protected in the same way that women's rights are protected under the law.

In conclusion, despite the economic cost, males should be allowed to spend time with their newborn children. If the time is limited in comparison to maternity leave, the disadvantages can be addressed.
