Band 7 IELTS Essay

For many nations, agriculture is the foundation of their economies. Farmers receive special benefits due to their role in the economy. Many arguments have been provided with illustrations to back up the government's actions.

A farmer first invests his resources—money, time, and labor—in order to make a profit. Additionally, their contributions to society aid in the growth of the population and the economy. Additionally, unique tax breaks are offered to this farming community in order to promote the expansion of a number of highly demanded products. Additionally, as a reward, debts obtained by these farmers were voided. For instance, the Indian government lowered the interest rate for farmers last month.

Agriculture has been a component of people's lives and national economies ever since humans first evolved. Vegetables, which are produced by farmers inland, are also everyone's primary necessity. In fact, many individuals would experience an economic crisis if governments did not support the development of local farming. Additionally, legislators and competent authorities should take sufficient measures to avert this unfortunate circumstance. For example, if they raised the import tax and customs fees on imported foodstuffs. Their costs would rise and consumers would turn to local businesses instead. In other words, it benefits nations by raising the value of their gross domestic products, not just their citizens and farmers.

Second, an additional tax is imposed on imported items in an effort to promote the preference for domestically made goods. It will increase the sales of goods produced locally and deter foreign businesses from oversaturating the domestic market with their products. Due to the higher quality, people favor imported items over locally manufactured ones. To alter public image, the government should take action. One such place where imported items are more in demand than native ones is Bali. The local community has lost its source of income, despite the fact that the economy would benefit from imports and sales tax.

In summary, it is up to the local government and populace to prioritize domestically produced goods above imported ones. The economy will benefit from this as well.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

The majority of nations legislate additional fees for imported goods to safeguard their food companies and supply chains. Governments should ensure that food suppliers can compete fairly. Otherwise, small providers will be unable to operate in the marketplace and will lose market share. I support protective tariffs because they will protect farmers and food providers.

One the one extreme, there are certain benefits to the nation's expanding economy and environment. In the beginning, food that is grown locally is safer because it doesn't need to be transported for a long time and won't have artificial preservatives. The organic meats and vegetables that are delivered straight from the farmers to the markets can be eaten by native speakers. Additionally, agriculture is relatively environmentally safe. For instance, the manure from cattle raised for milk production would be utilized to fertilize plants so they would develop more effectively. In agriculture, it results in a closed process. Additionally, this would guarantee that environmental effects be kept to a minimum.

On the other extreme, there are a lot of advantages to importing items. The first reason why people now tend to buy imported goods is because they contain more nutrients. And proteins that are healthier for their well being than foods grown locally. The country's economy will contract in this trend as the price of external commodities rises at the moment. Additionally, cargo cars will release carbon dioxide into the environment. Which is extremely dangerous for people and will lead to respiratory ailments.

Even though many nations have agreements to trade goods or resources. All nations mainly care about their own citizens and will close their borders whenever a pandemic or other tragedy occurs. Furthermore, if governments help local farmers and boost their capacity for production, there won't ever be a vegetable shortage in those nations. In conclusion, governments should examine and streamline import fees to maintain fairness between smaller providers. And overseas suppliers, globalization is a fantastic opportunity for consumers. Otherwise, local farmers could have trouble providing for their families and the purchasing power might suffer.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

It has been claimed that the government is enacting laws like special food taxes to safeguard farmers' finances. Since it is the obligation of the government to strive for the advantages of those with low incomes, I wholeheartedly concur with the statement.

To begin with, the government controls policies that help farmers. The majority of the time, the most significant factor is that these low-wage workers put in a lot of effort in the fields to produce. And supply the nation's residents with wholesome food. For instance, they work around the clock throughout the entire year, rain or shine, to preserve the food from harsh weather. Consequently, it is the state's job to establish policies that are beneficial to farmers and that inspire and satisfy agricultural employees.

To help a nation's economy grow, it is essential to support the local agricultural labor force. This technique not only helps people save money on their regular shopping but also motivates consumers to select locally produced goods rather than imports. For instance, the government in Argentina provides subsidies to livestock producers. Allowing them to carry on with their customary labor without having to raise their prices. Additionally, it is because of the estate donation that local beef is still available to citizens at reasonable costs.

Moving forward, levies on manufactured and imported food are beneficial for boosting the nation's economy. Which raises the standard of life for the average individual while raising revenue from the wealthy. The distribution of wealth makes society stronger by preserving the happiness of middle-class and lower-class families. While they take advantage of the nation's free services like health and education.

In conclusion, I want to stress that the government has put policies in place for its farmers that are truly beneficial for the farmworkers. And inspire them to work more ardently in order to reap the rewards of their labor. Additionally, taxing the wealthy would probably strengthen the nation's economy.
