Celebrities are on the one hand well-liked and well-known. They have a broad appeal and serve as role models for many people who look up to them for who they are. This makes it easier for their thoughts to be heard by audiences. Additionally, a lot of youngsters strive to follow their role models' actions and words blindly. For instance, a well-known Bollywood celebrity launched a neighbourhood cleanup initiative in Mumbai, India, calling on others to do the same.This campaign attracted almost 100,000 participants, the majority of them were teens, which was a remarkable amount of support for any cause. In a nation like India, where youngsters make up the majority of the population, celebrity opinions may have a significant influence.

When considering the positive side, it is no secret the impact these individuals have on society. Celebrities and movie stars are well aware of the societal problems present. Many of them have even pledged their entire support in the battle against these concerns. The majority of them freely express their opinions about them, especially on social media. For instance, a lot of them have voiced their opposition to the traditional dowry system. On the other hand, famous people or celebrities must behave honourably when discussing societal concerns. For instance, if an actor supports a specific religion on a social issue, this might cause social tensions with another group of people. In the worst-case scenario, it results in violence. Famous individuals should thus use caution while discussing sensitive topics on public platforms.

In conclusion, despite the fact that celebrities have a wonderful ability to connect with the public, I think they should refrain from making statements about current events. They should not make such statements before thoroughly researching them.

This would have a bad effect on society and, in the worst case, lead to violence.

Celebrities' views on social issues, however, can raise awareness because of their widespread appeal. As a result, their voice can aid the issue by reaching a big audience. Specifically, government-sponsored health promotion and fundraising for natural calamities.

To sum up, there is no doubt that the public is greatly influenced by the thoughts of celebrities or famous people.Celebrities must either keep up with current events in the public realm or refrain from expressing their opinions if they are unfamiliar with the topic. Even if it occasionally benefits the society, the danger of importing undesirable influences outweighs the benefits.

It is to the point they sometimes start worshipping these celebrities and mindlessly follow their example . Because of this, when famous people discuss social issues, they gather support in large numbers. The opinions of celebrities matter a lot in a developing nation like India where youth make up more than half the population.

But while famous people have the power to influence the public positively, sometimes they are not qualified to speak about a social issue. So it is important for famous people to understand when to give their opinions and when not to. Because anything they say holds a lot of value in the eyes of the general public and it may sometimes instigate the public to react violently. It is for the celebrities or famous people to understand when to give their opinions and when to keep their mouth shut on something.

In my opinion, famous people should use their power to influence the masses for the greater good of society. But also understand the sensitivity of the issue they want to talk about hence, provide their opinion with precision and proper knowledge.
