Band 6 IELTS Essay

There are a variety of sports that one can participate in, but it is important to understand the advantages and risks associated with each one. As a result of the dangers involved, several people have suggested that extreme sports like water rafting and skiing be outlawed. In my opinion, such sports shouldn't be practised in the modern culture due to the inherent health risks they provide. Additionally, they encourage violence in society, particularly among children.

Due to the height at which this sport is performed, one of the drawbacks of such sports as skiing is that there is a significant chance of falling. Several accidents related to this sport have been reported in the news. It has occasionally resulted in fatalities or even fatalities. Exercising or participating in sports should be beneficial to one's health rather than harmful. For instance, my friend Jim, who once competed in this sport series on behalf of my town, is no longer active due to an injury he received while playing in it. The promotion of violence among kids is furthered by water rafting and skiing. Children are easily influenced by what they witness or observe. After viewing them, they often practise these sports in their daily lives, which leads them to act violently with the belief that this is a normal way of life. For instance, Uche, the son of my uncle, loved to watch wrestling television. He frequently uses his younger sister to illustrate what he observed throughout the game. The society will be spared a lot of problems if these sports are prohibited. To sum up, despite the fact that some people enjoy extreme sports, I firmly feel that they ought to be outlawed. As they pose a serious threat to human health and because they have a detrimental impact on children's violent attitudes.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

Extreme sports have become more and more well-liked recently, and some people contend that governments ought to outlaw them. These sports shouldn't be prohibited because, in my opinion, they are not in any way more risky than other activities. I believe that despite what many people believe, so-called extreme sports are not inherently harmful. Every sport carries some level of danger, therefore there should always be clear rules and safety precautions in place to lessen the likelihood of mishaps.

Extreme sports participants are frequently obliged to complete the necessary training in order to reduce the risks. As an illustration, everyone who wishes to try skydiving must sign up for instruction with a licensed club, and beginners are not allowed to dive alone. They must be accompanied by a qualified expert. Last but not least, safety is continuously being improved by the protective gear and technologies used in sports like auto racing and mountain climbing. Although I am in favour of rules and safety precautions, I think it would be inappropriate and nearly difficult to outlaw extreme sports. We should all have the freedom to choose how we want to spend our spare time, first and foremost. I don't think the government should forbid us from having fun as long as we are aware of the consequences. The difficulties of enforcing such a prohibition, however, would be an even stronger reason against it. Base jumping and large wave surfing are two of the riskiest activities that are frequently practised outside the jurisdiction of any authority. I can't imagine the cops being called to prevent someone from surfing on a deserted beach or parachuting off a cliff. In conclusion, I would contend that so long as participants are aware of the hazards and take reasonable safeguards. They should be permitted to engage in extreme sports.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

The last twenty years have seen a rise in popularity of extreme sports. Many people's only means of surviving is through their practice. They must try even riskier and riskier things because for them, adrenaline is the most essential thing in their existence. Of course, that isn't the only explanation. Extreme sports are popular, and many people participate in them solely for that reason. It is true that risk is always present when engaging in extreme activities.

Such as bungee jumping, canyoning, rafting, ice climbing, snowboarding, surfing, parachute jumping, paragliding, or mountaineering. Even if you are a really skilled athlete, you should be aware that even a seemingly insignificant error might have fatal consequences. Although many people lose their lives participating in extreme sports every year, the number of "courageous" persons is rising. However, it is up to us to decide what to do with our lives. And it's likely that if you do it once, you'll do it repeatedly. However, the query is, "Should extreme sports be outlawed as they endanger people's lives? And "absolutely not" is my response.
