Band 8 IELTS Answer

The figures show the age-based proportions of students who attended four different evening courses at an adult education institution in 2009. This includes the number of male and female students.

In the classes of languages, painting, and drama, there were clearly more men than women, while in the class of sculpture, there were more men than women. In addition, it is evident that the majority of students were senior citizens (those over 50) and the lowest were those under 20. It was noticed that there were 40 female students in the language class, which was twice as many as male students. Men made up about 25 and 10 of the students in the painting and drama classes respectively. Women made up 30 and 20 of the students in the painting and drama classes. In terms of the sculpture class, there were ten men in attendance, while the number of women was half as high as the number of men.

It is evident, based on the age group, that the senior population accounted for approximately 42% of the participants. The figures for the two middle-aged groups (those aged 40 to 49 and those aged 30 to 39) that followed were 26% and 16%, respectively. The proportions of those under 20 years old and those between the ages of 20 and 29 were approximately 11% and 5%, respectively.

In every course, with the exception of sculpture, it is abundantly clear that there were more women than men. Additionally, it is evident that the majority of students belonged to the older age group (those 50 and older).

The bar graph shows that there were 40 female students in the language class, which was twice as many as male students. Men made up about 25 and 10 of the students in the painting and drama classes, respectively, while women made up 30 and 20. In terms of the class on sculpture, there were ten men in it, and only half of the female figure was there.

The pie chart makes it clear that seniors (those 50 and older) made up the majority of course participants, accounting for more than two-fifths of the total. The course was taken by 26% and 16% of students in the 40-49 and 30-39 age ranges, respectively. When 11% of 20-29-year-old students attended, the youngest group had the lowest participation rate (5%).

The number of men and women who took language, painting, sculpture, and other evening classes at an adult education center in 2009 is depicted in the bar graph. The ages of those who took these classes are depicted in the pie chart.

In 2009, women attended the most language classes (40 women) and the fewest sculpture classes (nearly 5 women), while nearly 25 men attended painting classes. Women, on the other hand, take the same course at 30. However, men and women each attended 10 drama and 10 sculpture classes, and 20 men and 20 women attended language and drama classes simultaneously.

Additionally, people between the ages of 20 and 29 make up 11%, while those between the ages of 40 and 49 make up 16% of those who attended the various classes. Only 5% of the total population is under the age of 20. Last but not least, 26% of people between the ages of 40 and 49 attend.

In general, in 2009, the majority of students were older, and women especially enjoyed language classes; However, painting classes were most popular with men.
